Whether you think it happened too often or not doesn't change the fact that this "feature" was introduced in scrimmages about 3 seasons ago. It's old news. The BB's may have added it to league games this season, but it's not new.
For what it's worth, random out of bounds plays happened 5 times in my league game. I don't think that's unrealistic.

So that exactly was the purpose of introducing this feature??? To make the games more realistic???

Yes if they want to make it realistic at least let us change tactics during periods even if that is before the game.

I actually think the game engine didn't really change. They just changed the text (as announced in the recent BB-News.) So rebounds that would normally have been for my opponent might now be an out of bounds by me or that thing with the clutch and the ref saying the other team gets the ball. The results are the same, the text is just different.

Just consider it an offensive/defensive rebound. No big deal.

If that is the case why then did on the matches above the players complaining had significantly less rebounds than the opponent?
That means that if they hadn't changd the message the rebounds difference would be even bigger :/

Well you always see people complaining if they get unlucky. If there are many managers that got significantly less rebounds than their opponent, than there should also be a lot that got significantly more than their opponent. But we only see people complaining that they feel they should have had more rebounds......Looking at the matches in my own competition I haven't noticed anything really weird, so I think it's just that some people don't like being on the left-end of the normal distribution of random.

I don't get what you mean by

I think what he means is that if the game engine hasn't changed and these random out of bounds plays just replace an event where the other team would have grabbed the rebound, since the random events don't count as a rebound for the other team, the disparity would be greater in rebounds. Hope that made sense.

For a feature they have been working on for three seasons, it sure doesnt work right. Just because it says you get possession, doesnt mean you do. It's like the bug where your player defends your own shot.

And no, I rarely watch scrims. Scrubs, trainees, and ready to fires slugging it out? Boooooooring

I guess it makes sense. That is IF the assumption is that most of the random out of bounds were in favor of the dominating team. Which makes sense if you consider it as a regular rebound with different text.
