Please allow us to track our posts which have been balled. I lose count, Naker certainly does.

Thanks

What good would this do?

What good would the Roles do?

Assuming they every worked properly, you could find a cup opponent's starters in a flash.

A function doesn't have to do something good
I would like to see a Total Posts count as well even though that won't add anything good to the game necessarily. Would just be cool to have.

Why encourage posting for no reason, when you don't seem to require any encouragement?

I suppose, but still wouldn't work for players that are new to the team but are being used as starters. Regardless, I hope it gets incorporated so it means something more than simply who the starters are.

What's wrong with encouraging posting? More posts = more active forums = better community.

I'll bold the relevant part for you, since you conveniently skipped it.

There. I bolded it for you.

I don't understand what you mean. Do you mean you think people will simply spam the forums with posts that don't make sense to increase their post count?? If so, I highly doubt that will happen.

I never claimed their posts wouldn't make sense, but you seem to get the gist. Yes, people will post to increase their post count.

Whether or not we agree on this is not the issue. This was about ball tracking, and about needing some sort of notification about what posts were given the +1, right? Neither of you has made any strives to convince anyone why this is a good idea. You've just jumped on board and said, why not?

I've suggested why it might be a bad idea. So try and change my mind. This is how debate works.

Well I think being able to see what posts were given a +1 will not increase how often people post, but it will allow people to see the type of posts that they get +1s for and perhaps this will allow them to increase the overall quality of future posts.

As for the post count feature, I think that it wouldn't increase spam any more than introducing the +1 rating system. So would be a cool feature and would allow users to see how many posts other users had made, and could be compared to how many balls they have as a way to establish credibility.

I'm sure we would both agree that it would be easy to implement a post count system.
So I don't quite understand your dislike of the system. Is it simply because you think people will start posting useless messages? I don't think this will happen. I don't think people will post much more than they do now. And if you find it is an issue then the BBs can simply remove it or you can hand out longer message board bans.

And I'm sure you can see that it would be a cool feature to have.

So why not implement it?
