Anyone else have an opinion on how much difference that fraction of a minute makes? I'd love to hear from someone who is at least in the Top 10k (thus ensuring they know what they are talking about).


My world ranking is inside of 10k and I could not answer your question. I agree that ranking is not a guarantee of knowledge. However, there is probably a correlation between ranking and game knowledge. Yet, a correlation is not certainty.

All I know is the penalty for not getting a full 48+ is too harsh.

I had a smartass answer ready about cooking an egg, but I've scrapped it and I'll just tell you that the prevailing wisdom is that there is very little difference between 48 minutes and 47 minutes, and I'd even go so far to say that anything 45 or above is probably fine. Personally, I don't make any special effort to get a guy minutes for training unless he needs 10 or more.

For what it's worth
I've had 2 players foul out at 44 to 47 minutes in the last 2 weeks and fretted for nothing
since I was training 3 one position point guards
thankfully both popped that week in the needed area
