The last salaries actualizationes are doing exactly that progreively. Instead of lowering the salary cap for all potentials, they are lowering the salaries for each skill, so players with certain potential will cap at lower salaries, because with te same skills, they cost less to mantain.

So you are proposing something that it is being done in some way.

Well, I strongly disagree with lowering the salaries for huge players, I believe that no team should be able have two Triple Legendary centers because it's just unrealistic and against any kind of competition. In my point of view, the best part of the game is to make uniqueness more valuable and that will fade away if everybody gets legendary players on every position, I think that running a winning team with below average salaries is a skill that should not be blown away..

didn't get Joe Johnson get the same salary then LeBron James? if you have an Hardcap on salary, there won't be clones and it wouldn't make sense if it at the current salary of the best player.(marbury would be an great example too)

But yes, it would have a weird development of value, first it go up when the player get better maybe around 200k the value will decrease with training and when the player comes close to the cap(most likely betwen 300-400k) it will start to increase again.

If there was to be a salary cap it had to be so that a player could not be trained above that level. If not it would just be silly. But then the current potential system would probably need to be looked over.

I really can't think of a good reason why legendary isn't a brick wall. Once a player hits legendary, he shouldn't be able to pop in that skill again.

But I'm all for scrapping potential.
