I had this same problem and asked about it here
http://www.buzzerbeater.com/community/forum/read.aspx?thr...In the end I decided to penny pinch by getting new staff members, cutting any possible salaries off of my team and make a minimal profit while trying to stay at a 5-6 seed. I've ended up being able to make almost 70k a week and that will increase as I pump the profits into building my arena during the season. Also I will end up with a rather decent draft pick and hopefully manage to avoid relegation. I decided that the game would be too boring and although the money looked good on paper there were no guarantees and that trying to stay competitive was the way to go.
