Hi DSH,

1. Yes I have look and analysed your draft for the season 15 and 16. I have not finish the draft of the last season but I have seen some great players like David Sauron (23180355) your player. If he will train some inside skill could become a great SF. But I can't be sure to know if those players will be good players if I don't know their skills. There is another great C with Hall Of Famer Potential ( I don't know if I can show him because he is in sale ) who propably be a very good player for U21 and NT.

2. If you have a chance to get a player in the NT teams why will you not train him?
I have a player who play for Senegal, it's nor my country but I feel proud when he play for Senegal. If I can get a player of my country I will propably be prouder. Moreover if you have a great player for NT he will be great for your team too.

3. I will not have "assistants" if I will be your next coach but I know if I want some help I can find it with Yannoch.

4. I think the skills the more important is defense, I always prefere a player with a good defense and average offense than good offense and average defense. Moreover a good player is a player who have secondary ( for me secondary is for example a C with some handling, dribbling, jump shot... ).

5. I would like to win some games of course, but I want that Luxembourg becomes a better nation in BB and for that Lux-managers have to train their players. Try to help managers for the training of PG and SG who is the weakness of the U21 for the moment.

6. I have not already talk to Lux-manager because it probably be spamming, so I prefer wait to be the coach before send BBmail to Lux-managers who have potential U21 in their teams.

I hope I have answered to your questions, if not tell me =)

Hi mate,

It is nice to see somebody from Luxemburg to take care about national team. It is always good to have in domestic league somebody, who may help U21 coach. Your questions are pretty easy for me to answer. Last 2 seasons I am coaching Pakistan U21 team with very similar structure, base and problems as you in Luxembourg.

1. Of course I saw this season draft. For me, very poor draft, only one MVP+ player selected in 3 rounds.. I cant say, what potential is in this season draft, because I cant see skills of these players, but having experience in Pakistan (small community as Luxembourg), draft is not so important for U21 manager (much important is to find managers, who will train young players and motivate domestic managers to help U21 manager).. OK my opinion, NT coach might be a little worry about this season draft, for U21 manager is this draft not so bad, because he might still work with Allstar+ potential players and there are some. Generally Allstar potential is good enough for U21 team to improve Luxembourg position in this game
2. How to motivate domestic managers? That’s the hardest task for new U21 manager in your country. To answer your question, I need to speak with your top managers before. Being Pakistan U21 manager I had quit low success to motivate domestic managers, so I founded 2 training camps abroad in Argentina and Latvia.. To answer your question, to offer an assistant (scout) job to Luxemburg managers might help a little to motivate them
3. Not sure about that. Of course I need help. Best option for me would be to have helpers from Luxembourg league (because to have close feedback from your league, watching young players in action, etc.). But if nobody from Luxembourg will be interested, I might find some in Slovakia (quite experienced)
4. One posted regular every week training (you might find this strategy on Slovak or Pakistan forum – you might see there, which skills to train and to what level – Slovakia is quite successful with this system, I may explain it, if somebody is interested)
5. I am looking for longer era as only 2 seasons in Luxembourg. The first step is to choose potential managers in your country, who want to help and who want to train young players for the future. Another thing is to create strong communication between Luxemburg managers and strong forum. Moving 10 places up the rankings for next 2 season might be quit optimistic, because of quality of draft and 19-20 years old players in your country, but I may try it.. More important is for me to adapt good training system in your league
6. No and I not intend to before election. That’s prohibited to use BB mail for presentation. But surely, after election I will do a lot. You cant be good U21 manager without support of domestic managers

I was looking to stay there of course.. Because I started to create new generation of players, who will be on top next season. And surely, they will reach better results and best rankings for Paki U21 ever..
BUT, the problem in Pakistan is community.. There are only 2 active managers (another 14 will re-bot soon) and one of this managers is not speaking foreign language and 2nd one is not interested to NT and U21 work.. Thats the problem, see last season elections for NT manager, no vote (Bernardo won with 0 votes).. Huge ignorancy from these 2 managers and after that, I decided to quite my work in Pakistan.. Its looking like waste of my time to continue there..
Another problem is forum, see Paki forums - I started to create forums (transfers, news, U21 matches, tactics,..), but nobody from Pakistan responded.. It was only chat with 2-3 foreign managers
You may see there on old forums, a lot of foreign managers were quite happy with my work first season, I had a lot of chat with manageres who trained Paki young players, but I cant really work in such ignorant comunity..
Hope (and looks like) Luxemburg comunity is much active and would be willing to help NT and U21 manager

As I promised, there are some instructions, how to be successful on U21 level. I followed it for last 4 seasons and I had players in Hong Kong, Spain, Slovakia, Pakistan, Greece, India and Albania U21 team..

This guide was created in cooperation with Matej_B (58463) and its object is to help managers with training players for U21 National Team and later for National Team. We hope that it will be helpful and will bring results in the future.

We will talk about single-post training (except skills where only double-position training is available, e.g. Rebounding) because double-post training is too slow for National Team purposes.

Secondary skills (e.g. Outside Defence for Center) shown below are only illustrative and it is recommended to train them before potential fulfilment.

Chance for U21 jersey have only players with following potential:
Outside players (PG, SG, SF) – al least Allstar (6) potential
Inside players (PF, C) – at least Perennial Allstar (7) potential

PG/SG Training

Ideal height: to 193 cm (6'4")
Training for PG & SG is very similar at the begining. It is priority to take advatnage of age in the first season and therefor it is highly recommended to train Outside Defence (pressure) in combination with One-on-One training. The Player should be balanced at the end of the first season and should reach at least level 8-9 in Outside Defence, Driving, Handling and Jump Shot.
If the player has any weakness at the beginning (e.g. one skill is markedly weaker than other) it is good to contact one of our scouts or just start training with this skill.
Next season (age 19) it is still required to train Outside Defence, One-on-One, but you should add Jump Range and Passing (mainly for future PG).

Required skills at the end of 20 for PG:

Jump Shot: Sensational (12)
Jump Range: Prominent (10)
Outside Defence: Tremendous (13)
Handling: Prolific (11)
Driving: Sensational (12)
Passing: Prolific (11)
Inside Shot: Inept (4)
Inside Defence: Average (6)
Rebounding: Inept (4)
Shot Blocking: Inept (4)

Required skills at the end of 20 for SG:

Jump Shot: Tremendous (13)
Jump Range: Prolific (11)
Outside Defence: Sensational (12)
Handling: Prominent (10)
Driving: Prominent (10)
Passing: Strong (8)
Inside Shot: Inept (4)
Inside Defence: Average (6)
Rebounding: Inept (4)
Shot Blocking: Inept (4)

SF training

Ideal height: 193-201 cm (6'4" - 6'7")

SF is an outside player with very good inside skills. This is the reason why his training is so similar to the PG/SG. It is useful to combine One-on-One and Pressing training at the beginning, then you can add some Outside shooting. Around 20 years of age, it is time to start with inside training – please contact U21 manager for ideal training.

Required skills at the end of 20 for SF:

Jump Shot: Tremendous (13)
Jump Range: Proficient (9)
Outside Defence: Prolific (11)
Handling: Proficient (9)
Driving: Proficient (9)
Passing: Respectable (7)
Inside Shot: Respectable (7)
Inside Defence: Strong (8)
Rebounding: Strong (8)
Shot Blocking: Average (6)

continue:

PF/C Training

Ideal height: 201cm and more (6'7")

It is recommended to start with Inside Shot or Inside Defence according to his weakness and to continue until 2-3 level difference between these skills. Then you should train these skills until they get balanced. After that Rebounds should even Inside Defence. Repeat this procedure a few times.
If a rebounding skill is significantly lower than ID and IS (for example 6/6/3), there is a recommendation to train this skill until the level of ID. Then start with training written above.
It is not recommended to train Inside Shot with Inside Shot training over Prominent or Prolific. This skill will be trained with One-on-One training for PF/SF later.

Required skills at the end of 20 for C:

Jump Shot: Average (6)
Jump Range: Inept (4)
Outside Defence: Inept (4)
Handling: Mediocre (5)
Driving: Respectable (7)
Passing: Average (6)
Inside Shot: Sensational (12)
Inside Defence: Tremendous (13)
Rebounding: Wondrous (14)
Shot Blocking: Strong (8)

Required skills at the end of 20 for PF:

Jump Shot: Respectable (7)
Jump Range: Mediocre (5)
Outside Defence: Average (6)
Handling: Average (6)
Driving: Prominent (10)
Passing: Average (6)
Inside Shot: Tremendous (13)
Inside Defence: Sensational (12)
Rebounding: Tremendous (13)
Shot Blocking: Respectable (7)

Aurel Waterneversdorf (23180340) Starting Price: $ 234 000
Auction ends: 05/11/2011 13:54:32

Who wanna train PG/SGs, go for him. He is probably one of the bests perimeter players in this year weak draft. He has surely potential to be member of U21 Lux team..

I think that he will have to have a connection between the selector of A who is French Yannoch manager and the future selector to install also a good A team of the Luxembourg that does very well Yannoch. Because the purpose of U21 is first of all to prepare the young players U21 to the first team.It is for that it will especially be necessary to concentrate on the training of the young people and the communication with the Luxemburg managers to install a common project on the duration.
