Your first suggestion is GREAT!!!
I just LOVE it!!!

The NBA has great ideas that BB should take.
Their draft lottery is an example of something that had been created for exactly what you have suggested, and works very good.

Regarding your second suggestion, it sounds OK not much more than that maybe even less.

Keep up with the good ideas!

This is actually not really that bad. Tanking for the first pick should not be 100% foolproof. Randomizing the picks a bit would be a good idea.

Exactly as "Rolls Team" who had suggested it wrote - it will make teams lose less games intentionally and by that making the game more clean.
He actually gave the example for the team at the top side of the league as the one who may lose due to current definition.

The lottery is not related by any means to the relegation issue.

There is an connection, in the NBA there is no advanatage to be better then last, when you don't make the PO if you not have an expiring tv contract right now, cause it is unimportant if you are the ninth best team or last one. In BB every place after the PlayOff have a different meaning for the offseason. Or don't you think, being not relegated as 5th, is worse then beeing relegated as 8? Isn't there a motivation to be better then 8 for him, when he could stay in league at 7 or have even good chanches at 6?

I have come to the point that when I agree with Pini on something, I'll think about it 10 more times because I'm probably missing the point somehow.

But in this case I do think it is a good suggestion.
To be honest, I was somehow sure that a lottery was already implemented (I'm not into the draft system at all, as is).
