Most of it is random but the factors that do influence it are the number of minutes you play and the aggresiveness of your opponents which in turn is partly based on your defense. Higher defense and lower minutes makes less chance of injuries.

I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like inside-oriented tactics produce more injuries than outside because player drive to the paint more often.

Yeah,but my New C is getting on my nerves not coming back for a while. He is older,so a bit more prone.

It's possible but there's really no actual way to prove it. Injuries are almost completely random factors.
