Not necessarily. Valuable to the TEAM. Like if I have all 10k guys, and one 100k guy, obviously the 100k guy is the most valuable guy. Let's say another team has 5 100k guys. There is no MOST VALUABLE in this case. Also, leading in points and rebs and assists doesn't necessarily mean good. Invisible things like defense also play an equally major role.

They usually are out before the first PO game so we should have them out by tomorrow. Hard to say if your C wil take the spot. Voting seems a bit fishy some times and the most logical player doesn't always get the trophy.

didn't they changed it before two season, that they come after the season.

Kinda disagree I had a team which had the best record with 4 guys in the 15-29k range. My 18k PF was not among the top scorers and was 4th in rebounding. He not only won MVP, the vote was unanimous. http://www.buzzerbeater.com/league/78/overview.aspx?season=16
I agree with that choice. How valuable a player is to the team is not salary or league rankings but rather how the player contributes to the team to help them win.
Back on topic: the time they hand out the MVP trophy has never really been designated from what I've seen. You just have to wait and see.

Check the Suggestions they are important

are you suggesting that kevin love should be the only legitimate mvp candidate in the nba? lebron has wade, durant has westbrook/harden, kobe has bynum and gasol... each of those 'supporting' players could carry the team to a significant number of wins (as the bulls did without rose), except for the wolves..

luckily, things in real life don't quite work that way.. :)

kevin love has rubio, not a bad combo.

Anyway, are we off the topic?

It is not asking who will win the MVP but when will award come out.

after the final PO game, during offseason processing like the last seasons.

I would definitely say he should get MVP, 2nd best rating, leading in the top 2 most important categories as a big, and on an undefeated team, but as Manon said, it is really strange and no one knows exactly how it is calculated.

we know some things about it:

- every team have two "related" people to vote, so they rate the players of there teams higher and the perfomances against them

- stats and maybe rating impact the decision

- the succes of the team

- the electoral delegates(right word?) have different charakter(which is random), who defines how high they rate stats and succes(so extrem stats candidates would vote for Love, while extrem succes people root for Duncan)

Imho the MVP voting is more isn't that strange, i have more trouble to understand the ASD voting which depends a lot on the visitor numbers during the games.

I thought they changed it to the MVP being awarded during the playoffs. I'm also hoping my starting PG gets it. He puts up pretty good all around numbers and had one triple double game and plenty of close ones, but hes not the best scorer
