Generally if you want a LI PG, you wouldn't want him taking more jump shots over shots inside. So why even have a higher JS? It should be 7-9 JS and 9-11 IS.

The level of JS depends mostly on what you can get away with without having him be an SG, which will depend largely on his JR/OD/RB relative to PA/HA/DR.

If he is labled a PG, 6 levels of JS cost as much salary as one level of PA, which is a great trade off even for LI. I think a lot of people don't realize how cheap JS is for PGs and under value it (like in this thread).

If he is labled an SG, any extra JS will not be worth it.

There isn't any level of IS that is "alright". More is always better because it's free, but you could get by fine with 5 or 6 if other skills were ideal. It's a skill that is really awesome but EXTREMELY expensive on the TL so you just have to take what the market gives you.

I think the most important skills, taking salary into account, are OD>>>DR>PA. The guy you listed in your OP is fine but I would trade some of his PA/HA for more OD/DR/JS.

I agree with w_alloy. But I'd even go as far as to say your SG should really be a range threat.

If I were picking up a LI SG for $50k, I'd want something like this: 15/11/16/13/15/12-8/7/3/6 $48k/wk (still listed as a PG, though).

But, yeah, don't worry too much about the IS. As long as it's 5+ your guy can make some inside shots and drives. And having the threat outside can do some things for you. It can dissuade opponents from giving you a 2-3 zone. And it can prevent opponent guards from helping down low [although I know this effect is debatable, I would like to think it exists].
