I'm running for the Canada NT manager position.

Those of you from Hattrick (a spritual ancestor of BB) will probably recognize me. I was a Canadian conference moderator, wrote the Canada U20 tracker web site, and oversaw the Canada U20 scouting process for many seasons. I also just promoted to Hattrick's top Canadian division, the All-Canadian.

I'm relatively new to BB. I took over my team early in season 2 (I think), but I'll come clean: I only started paying attention a month ago. By luck of the draw, I ended up with a decent standing, and was able to manage my team to a tiebreaker loss in the Canadian final.

Obviously, my knowledge of BB has a long way to go, as does everyone's. Again referring back to Hattrick, I succeeded there with unfashionable tactics (I've been training defense and counterattacking from day 1), and I would bring the same sort of unconventional thinking to our national team. And of course the same dedication I showed supporting the HT U20 program.

Thanks for reading. Make sure to vote.

Hello everyone,

I recently joined Buzzerbeater, but I already understand this game. I started with a mediocre team halfway through season 2 and I was at the bottom of the standings of League 4. Through my coaching, my team went undefeated through the regular season and I went to the top of my league and I am now in League 1. I know how players play and I know how to play them.

Basketball is my life. I study it and learn from it. I know what kind of player goes well with others, and I know how to match players to other teams. If one team has a strong player, I will counteract him with a strong defensive player. I know how to win against better teams and against better odds. If you want Canada to come out on top of this international tournament, vote for me as coach.

Put me down for this job.

I'm frequently on this site and have in reality played and coached actual basketball (not that that necessairly matters a tremendous amount here) but I have the dedication and know what it takes to win!!!!!!

Plus Canada rules and by the looks of it with all the diehards in our kickass league I know we'd head straight for the top.

We did of course invent the game did we not?

Who: I am thepuckcollector and I am the proud owner of the Windsor Warriors now playing in ii.2. I am beginning my first full season in the Buzzerbeater Community. I have experience playing similar games such as Hattrick, HockeyArena and Battrick.

What: I would bring to the Canadian National Team is time, energy, and enthusiasm. I believe all of these ingredients are important for success.

Why: To lead our the Canadian National Team would be an honour.

When: Canada’s future is now and we can compete with the other countries because our participation rates are quite similar. Playing to win today is important because the better Canada can perform gives us a better ranking for future tournaments.

Style of Play: My personal prefernece is to pound the ball inside with a strong rebounding and defensive club. Slowing the game down and getting to the free throw line is a key to a successful team. However, I also believe that we have to play to Canada’s strengths and I am not set to my prefered style if our country doesn't have the talent to play that way.

Training: It is important that our community trains our Canadian draft picks. It is easier to get the Canadian Buzzerbeater community to train something that is needed versus that of a player who is playing abroad.

Goals: The Utopian Goal is to be the global champion. Unlike the other online sports strategy games, I believe that right now our country can compete in Buzzerbeater.

I hope that the Canadian public gives me serious consideration. Whatever the end result, I believe it is important to support the person who wins the National Team position.

Thanks,

thepuckcollector
