Why haven't you trained your mvp draftee?

You responded to me but I don't have any players by that description.

If you're talking to the OP, it looks like he's trained that player all season but his starting skills were likely low. If he hasn't it's not really a crime either as he was drafted as a low skill 19 year old which doesn't make him a very good prospect to begin with.

If you do start playing this game again, don't carry 21 players when you only need 10-13. You wasted a lot of $$$ buying unneeded players and then paying their salaries every week on top of that. It would be the biggest reason that you're $800000 in debt.

I have to agree. but thing is in BB draft the player may look good and all but they are really not worth the minutes unless you have very , very good trainer to get where he needs to be which means lose a lot of games.. which I think is worst thing for a team to be doing.. It take a strong minded manager to get through those times.

The stats to show if he's good or not mean nothing which I just learned. Then after spending millions in the draft its a bad player with low skills to start.. One thing alot of forgein basketball lovers/fans need to understand is there is such thing nba ready players from college and high school that have very good skills to start like derrick rose. He got mvp 2-or 3 yrs into the league.. Lebron James was nba all star from high school, camerlo anthony could have went to nba from high school but choose to go to college won nccaa title as a freshmen and had better skills than some verterns . Tony parker was on france national team at 13 yrs old had better skills to start than some long time all star nba guards.

It not rare thing like this game make it be and train them to be good, im not bad mouthing the draft , because I really like it.. I think we should be scout the player all season long instead of few weeks.. see the good and bad with the players not a blind grab on poten.

Me personally I rather sell a u21 caliber player the 1st day I draft him rather than try to ruin the kid career trying to train him.. that's just something I don't want on mind as manager.. The game is to much of gamble. team like this is very good example that tried to get help for the young player.. crashed his whole team

I haven't scouted in a few seasons but what you can tell from the stats they give you is what skills the player is missing. Don't draft a guy who's 0-8 from the ft line unless training ft is in your future. Same with PG with 0 assists or a C with 2 rebounds. It's true you cant tell what his JS is if he goes 6-15 but if hes 6-15 and 0-5 from 3pt that tells you something about his range.

I would be ok if the skills were doubled on draftees, It might make it worth 120k a season for more teams to scout. Right now I don't know why people scout unless they're above D3 or demoting from it.
