The 8% is a just an estimate but likely a pretty good one and yes, that should apply to all training modes because it's a %. Nobody has any concrete figures on anything but thinking about it in terms of a % makes a lot more sense than thinking about it in terms of how many 'extra pops' you're going to get as there are so many different factors that play into that.

The chart seems to indicate that level 5 trainers offer little value over level 4 trainers.

Personally a level 4 trainer with career extension for $13,000 a week seems much more valuable than a level 5 trainer costing $22,000. Saves me 9,000 a week and gives me career extension for nearly identical training speeds.

I'm aware of this data. Personally, I think there must be some inaccuracies in it because the level 4 to 5 change is so minimal. I can't imagine that the game was set up with that in mind.

Plus, I honestly think there are too many random factors thrown in together in the crowd sourcing project that the data is all messed up. It's reliable to some extend, but I've found it to be inaccurate plenty of times now.


That's the way I view it too. Don't get me wrong, all this data being collected is a very good thing and definitely helps understand how training works much better but it shouldn't be taken as the absolute gospel. It's still just a small sample and should be only taken as an estimate. And I'll tell you, this hasn't driven the prices of level 5 trainers down either. They're still going for crazy high prices on the market these days.
