I had a very long conversation about this subject matter... Not specifically 12-14 guys at once, but the concept, on the off-site chat with Wozzt and Yeppers. yeppers lost interest after awhile due to the variables and numbers etc.

However it came down to if I have a lvl 7 world reknown trainer and train in this manner, vs someone with a lvl 5 trainer training "normally". If we both took an ATG or whatever player, that had 50 skill points. Over the training course of their lives the lvl 5 trainer would net the guy around 118-123 total skill points when said and done. The lvl 7 doing the multiple trainings would net you a guy around 107-112. Of course this is all entirely based on the information presently gathered.

So there may be some inaccuracies from the lvl 7 trainer higher or lower, due to no one trying to do this yet.

For the record. In about a year RL I plan on attempting to do this for about 7-8 seasons worth of research for the training project, as well as my own curiosity.

So basically with a level 7 trainer you could presumably get multiple guys to a higher skill level than some would think? Assuming the math is right.

Presumably you would have 5-6 talented guys by their age 25-27. And can then start on another 5-6 before those first batch decline too much.

The problem is guards vs bigs and the overlap SFs... It'd be tedious and a team with 2-3 superstars vs talented would still beat you.

One of the ways I plan to test is I only train SF'ish height players

As results are gathered I will share

I would stick to 2-3 main trainees to start with. It takes 3 seasons to train 3 players that can even start in Div 4. After you have those guys in the early 20's, it can be reasonable to add additional trainees to the core. If you are doing a homegrown setup for your main trainees, this will likely be the case as your guys will age and get closer to capping at varying rates. Once you are to the point where you have 6 decent trainees, you can look at 2 or 3 pos training as a natural strategy. Optimally you will have some guys who are starters and other guys who pretty much serve as backups/scrimmage guys. Once you get players close to capping, you can add more trainees and alternate training so that the guys that are close to capping just train in secondaries. After most of your team is close to capping, its time to consider just doing team training. At that point you will have a full roster (hopefully) ages 21-28 with 5 or so homegrown and 5 or so purchased without being capped. Unfortunately, the younger players may never reach potential for the sake of the team at that point so you may have to sell them.

That is what I hope to get to Div I with. However, young/uncapped/well trained players are very expensive. It will take good economic management and lucky bidding to get an ideal situation where at least 8 players are uncapped but good enough to play in Div I or II.

Yes. You are right... It was you and I Wozzt commented briefly and yeppers sat there complaining that his head would explode.
