ShadowSlam's Team of the Scroll opens up their S26 season with a home loss to Sniper's Deadshot Snipers.

The Deadshot snipers were playing look inside with a man to man defense which ShadowSlam correctly predicted. Team of the Scroll played a base offense with man to man defense.

The Snipers put in more effort than the Team of the Scroll whom were taking it easy.

The 1st quarter was an ugly one as the Snipers came out and punched Team of the Scroll in the face. After a 30-12 1st quarter the initial shock of playing in a new league wore off, and Team of the Scroll settled down. Playing a 67-72 game being outscored by only 5 points the remaining 3 quarters combined.

Donald Luwa struggled in the 1st half but ended with 17 points 10 rebounds and 2 assists with 0 turnovers on 7-19 shooting. Luwa was quoted saying "This is on me, I lost the game on the boards, and as a result we lost the game. I'll ust have to go harder in the games to come!"

Newly acquired veteran guard David Thomas went 4-13, 8-10 at the line for 16 points to go with 1 rebound 7 assists 1 turnover 1 steal and 1 block. Thomas felt "We didn't mesh well yet. I'm learning some new offenses and playing with some new guys and its a growing experience. We'll look much sharper next game when we play the Rabid Goats. This is a good young team, and they got some good players... We'll turn it around"

Sean Clark, ROY last season, and a major player, had 13 points on 6-13 shooting to go with 12 rebounds 7 on offense, 1 assists and 1 turnover. Clark played aggressive, and refused to be beat. Clark was too disgusted after the loss to talk to reporters.

Team of the Scroll was just unable to capitalize on the mistakes made by the Snipers, will this young inexperienced team be able to handle the rigors of D. IV 63? or will they be just another team doomed to relegate?

Sean Clark spoke to reporters before today's match-up vs the Rabid Goats.

"We got a new SG, replacing Roni, guys a vet, guys a pro, it was a nice weekend I got some good training in. Tonight you're going to see a whole new team!"

Sean Clark was disgusted after the embarrassing 114-63 loss to Rlynn99's Rabid Goats. "The Rabid Goats looked like the only team trying out there!"

ShadowSlam was also quite shocked to see the Rabid Goats play at a Crunch Time enthusiasm for their match-up. "We're not their rival, It's the 2nd game of the season, our players here aren't even in comparable game-shape, it was really unnecessary for the Rabid Goats to play so hard."
ShadowSlam is 2-2 for correctly identifying the opposing team's tactics, and successfully threw off Rlynn99's game-plan predictions for what the Team of the Scroll would be doing offensively.

Donald Luwa a very disappointing follow-up, scoring 7 points with ZERO rebounds, 2 assists 2 turnovers and 1 steal. While playing the key SF position for the game. Luwa was right after their first loss, that HE needs to rebound better.

Sean Clark was backing up Luwa and in mixed minutes of play managed 4 points 2 rebounds and 2 assists with 1 turnover.

Good news for Team of the Scroll fans, in this game, they won the offensive rebounding competition 15-11 despite the odds heavily against them. Bad news, Michael Lynn fouled out quickly to start the 2nd half, and right now it seems nobody is making any shots.

I seriously have no idea AT ALL, why I would be CT'd.... especially this early in season with horrible comparison DMI and gameshape and a much lower salary team.

ShadowSlam and Carl Spackler both did their research, but apparently not well enough as they both missed horribly on their GDPs.

ShadowSlam's Team of the Scroll wanted it more, putting in the extra effort, and between that, and a dominating 3 quarters before letting the back-ups play out the 4th, were in command the whole way. Blowing out the Varmint Cong 91-50 in this rivalry game on TV.

David Thomas, only seeing 24 minutes of time in the blowout put up another solid effort for Team of the Scroll, showing fans just why he was worth the big bucks when they signed him. Maybe that will be a lesson to the 40% some fans who did not show up for today's game after the 0-2 start last week, despite the cup win.

Donald Luwa seemingly found his rhythm in today's contest. Also Connelly and Lynn finally playing up to their potential, last week Lynn showed signs of poor positioning and bad defense, fouling out just after half-time. Today he had himself a 16 pt 22 rebound performance with 1 foul. Connelly added a 20 pt 15 rebound performance.

This could be the start of a turnaround Scroll fans! Make sure you stay tuned.

Managed to pull out the blowout win against former conference #1 Rabid Goats. Feeling really good about the future. Maybe the playoffs are in reach after all?
