Yeah, injuries suck, but they happen in, you know, real life.

I don't agree. Even if it was going my way . I still wouldn't want the injuries... There's no injury reserves, there no free agent call up for certain amount of time.

Again the realism argument don't hold water for injuries. if they can give tax exemption and a team cap then where is injury reserves.? where is 1 to what ever week player call up in free agent.?

It just lost of money and lost of game in small opinion.

You still pay a players salary on the inactive list in the NBA. So, following your argument, more money would be lost by "calling up" this hypothetical D-league player who would just be an extra salary to pay for a sub-par player.

You can basically do what you are suggesting simply by buying a player off of the transfer list to play in the injured players place and then sell him once the injury is done.

you nailed it right on the money mr hutch.
my high scoring SF got injured after putting in scoring games of 71,18,64 and 66. the next game my other players can not score shit, so with the 83k money i had left i went out and found another SF/SG for 80k, and he has won me 2 games in a row in utopia iv.68
my injured star still has i weekS left before he returns, and i look forward to a high scoring team up with my emergency SG

You never know for sure, I usually plan that I will miss the player for the amount of weeks + the game on the same day he was injured. So in your case, I'd expect him to be back for the saturday game next week.

My 2 starting guards (one a NT player on 190k salary) have gone down at the same time and its absolutely killed me, im struggling to avoid relegation in top league and its costing me games that i should have won! and possibly costing me a cup run as well! frustrating right

in bb reality it don't work that way// you when hire a player and fire him in same week or same month lateron , it goes up in the system as shady deal for profit.. high risk , low rewards. which a fine or team closure.

then you have league caps , if you haven't trained that player it goes versus tax exempt. which may put you over and 50% penalty plus the league cap penaltes.. plus shady deals in the rules.. which equals... a heavy fine and team closure.

IR / injured reserves in bb way should be money you put aside for that that cause at start of the season or mid season, to pay that player you call up for a week or 5 weeks. if want up to select 250K in IR for one 5-15k a week player then that's your call, it still money left over for future injuries cases. It would only work if you have injury to the team. it can be set as team safety net.

why spend a lot money on 1 player just sell in 5 weeks.. ??

Its about options. a injury reserve system would help.
