Sure, make the strongest teams even stronger, great idea.
I wonder if you'd say the same if you didn't win your league. Would you still asking for more moneyfor your rival too in case that he wins? Would you agree to make him even richer and stronger to have even less chance to beat him next year?

I think instead we really need to give more prize money to regular season champions who lose in the playoffs but have a 20-2 record because it's not fair that we... er, they... don't get to promote or any sort of bonus for being awesome and handsome and having many leatherbound books and a locker room with the smell of rich mahogany.
