This is great.

Were you able to customise this automatic message?

Would be great if such a automatic message could be customised to include contact details of potential mentors, threads of national interest etc
I would like this set up to occur for all countries and perhaps a GM could oversee several smaller nations and could have the same automated messages to new starters from those smaller nation

I tend to agree with a previous post in another thread that suggested that Managers from smaller countries should play in regions made up of several smaller nations.

it would be great if they could all retain their individual National team flags whilst playing for these composite regions

also

Why cant an automatic reminder message be set up to go to a persons home email address, when they have logged on for a few weeks?

As far as I know, a mail is sent to people when they are close to lose their team due to inaction.

Well if they are not logging in its no good sending someone a bbmail, it needs to be an email

I didn't say BB-Mail.

Apologies then. If they are sending emails out then this is a good thing.

If they are not then this is something that could be introduced that would help the game

This is great that newstarters to the game in big countries get an automatic message from their countries GMs, however it would be great and arguably more important if the new starters in the tiny countries that are struggling for numbers could also got personalised messages.

What do you think?

Just heard from our GM in Australia that he doesnt think the automatic message from himself is happening in Australia.

(260178.81) & (260178.83)

I didnt realise it was the case but Koops is saying that a GM has to process the application of a potential new manager to join the game, before the new Manager can actually start playing.

I would have thought that the approval of an application could have been processed by the computer automatically thus allowing a new manager to start in the game straight away.

Is there an advantage in having a GM approve an application to join the game?

Since in Australia most of the users are using the English (US) they are also getting a message from a GM but not the Australian one.

My initial suggestion was for a Communications Officer or empowered GM of a country to connect new players from that country, to the local community (261461.1)

Perhaps the GM can message the countries GM or Communications Officer that a new starter from that country has signed up, or instead the countries GM or communications officer gets an automated report of a new starter commencing.

This would enable someone from the same country to provide that New Manager details of key people, threads, potential mentors etc that might be of interest to them, that would help connect that person to the local community
