There are currently 11 teams in Utopia .IV that are undefeated. Based on 12 automatic promotions, all undefeated teams are moving on up.

Sorry but there are some errors here.

There are 68 Div IV league with human teams in them. There are 128 teams spots will open in Div III with 64 demoting and 64 moving up to Div II. With 68 league winners moving up there leaves 60 spots for none league winners to make the jump to Div III.

There are 13 teams with a 22 and 0 record

There are then 45 teams with a 21 and 1 record. That takes 58 spots. So to make sure you make Div III for sure you need a record of 20 and 2 and a PD of better then Yeahh II 20 2 888
If your record if worse then that you need so many teams above to win their league.
Here are the next 60 teams who are the only ones who have any chance of making Div III without winning. Last one needs all the top sides to win. But the issue there is a number of leagues had 2 teams with 21 1 records. So the last few really have no chance.

Really?

Check out your list if you have a complete one. There are 3 Leagues where the winner will have a record worse than 19:3
IV.31, IV.67, IV.68
These Teams will kick 3 teams out of your list. There can be only 65 Leaguewinners on your list.
Additionally they are as i mentiond 12 teams who are on your list, but have no chance of winning their respective leagues (multiple 21:1 and/or 22:0 in said league). So you got to remove another 12 from your list.
Leaving the number as i mentiond 113 . (128-3-12)

Why the only 12? Where does that come from?
I know there are leagues with records less then 19 wins.

Ok i admit an small error, but different than you think.
There are actually 6 leagues where the winner will be outside the bot-promotion zone.
That eliminates another 3 slots. Where the potential 12 non winning top-60 teams have no big influence on the outcome (your point?)


Promotions 2.0:

league champions (68):
0-62 teams inside the top 122 (0-48 teams inside the top 60)
6-68 teams outside the top 122 (at least out of leagues: IV.9, IV.31, IV.54, IV.64, IV.67, IV.68)

via regular season record (60):
12 inside the top 60 (they cannot win their league because there is another team within the top 60, so at least one of them has to promote via league record)
48 teams inside the top 122 who can follow up if higher ranked teams win their leagues

So the actual cut for possible bot-promotion is 122th placed team with 19:3 and diff. of >560
(This could be inacurrate, but as far as i know thats #122)

the main point is I need to win to make it with my poor 18 and 4 season

So i'm the 130th with 19-3 and only +430... and.... i've to fight another season in IV. Hum, so honey....

By chance I play you Mickeyster in our conference final.

Should you beat me which is quite possible as you raided a few retirement villages to get players, then I have to rely on these extra spots.

my understanding is that with my 20 2 win loss and 685 PD league record that im 75th in line (for the extra 60 spots for non league winners), so I assume I need 20% of the teams above me on that list (15 teams) to win the league championships, for me to be able to promote through via the extra spots, should I fail to win the league championship.

Thanks for all these data. So it means that with a 19-3 / +496 first rank in my conference, i have no chance to be promoted, except if I win the league championship? grrr
