Depends on how you spend the 4mill, of you use it to buy a trainer with high starting skills but max MVP potential you don't need a lvl 6 trainer imo. In that case you spend money on the trainees current skills instead of on a trainer to get the extra skill points. If you spend it to get higher potential you do need a high level trainer.

guys i think that the question was what trainer would be best suited for his needs and i agree that now is not the time to overspend on a coach.

that being said, i read on the forums conflicting opinions as to how much better a level6 coach is better than level 4.

my question to you is. if a level 4 coach means 100% efficiency, the benchmark, how much better as a percentage (%) is a level 5 and level 6. i know data is inconsistent but from your own naked eye view how much of a difference is there. my estimate is around 10% per level of skill of trianer. your thoughts?

There was a thread which says each level is 2 or 3 % higher or lower. So the difference is maybe 1-3 ups/season. unfortunately i can't find that thread again ...

My rule of thumb is the first lvl of trainer has 50% effectiveness, the 2nd lvl has 75%, the 3rd 87,5% then 93,75 and 96,875 and soforth. The difference gets increasingly smaller with each level.

It simply is not possible to cap an MVP WITH WELLROUNDED skills without an L7 trainer. I have doubts about superstars unless the base skills are VERY high that a L6 is gonna get you there either.

Completely disagree. I got a player to the low end of cap of MVP with a combination of level 5 and 6 trainers (he was 26 when I sold him). If you put the time in, you can cap a player with a level 5 or 6 coach.

Personally, I've been a big fan of level 6 coaches, but I don't really want to spend the money on a level 7. If you have $4M, then I would say go for it. I wouldn't spend more than 1M on him though.

You probably want to spend most of you're money on an elite trainee. I'm talking 55-65 TSP and HoF potential (although that will probably cost you $3M+). Also think about grabbing some good 2nd and 3rd trainees. I'd think 50-60 TSP and PA-Superstar potential should be good (but if you can find 2 HoF trainees, then you'd really be rocking!)

man... i do not get why so many spend so much on a trainer just for a few skills per season.

thank you very much for the input Coach MK and Jeründerbar
