There are always tradeoffs between user security, user convenience, load balancing, and server performance when it comes to persisting sessions.

I'm with you, I'd rather be logged in once forever. Unless the "server performance" piece somehow comes into play if the current 15-minute timeout is pushed too much (which would be both unsurprising and disappointing), I'd like to see the timeout be significantly longer.

I've been timed out like 10-15 times during the first leg of the finals this afternoon. Starting to get on my nerves eventually...

I think today there is a bug here. In the past never happened to be kicked off so often...
