If processing delays are noticed to the extent that it affects the TL market, auctions are usually extended. (I don't know the specific criteria used to determine the threshold used to determine what qualifies or how long, though.) If delays are not noticed, or not noticed in time, and an auction closes, it is closed. If the player ends up selling for less than the minimum price listed, of course, I'm sure that would be re-examined as a bug; if the player ends up selling for less than "market" price but more than listed, it's yet another opportunity to remind users that if you want a certain amount for a player, you can list him at that amount.
