Well.....I guarantee there will be guys to step up but it's just a matter of what the offsite guys want. Too many times the offsite rallies behind just one manager and it really does screw us. Just like this last election, there was three of us from the offsite to run but pretty much JFarb and a few others pretty much step in and says who they are voting for and that's that. RamQ was persuaded into running and knew he was going to be busy and blatantly said it. This is just a lesson to everyone I guess. I don't even put America losing on RamQ either.

I still don't believe this to be true. I don't recall him saying this at the time and I went ahead and checked the threads. Maybe I've overlooked it, if so can you point it out.

Upon further review I must say that I did not find an exact post. So I apologize to RamQ (if he even see this) and to everyone else.

However, with that being said, I'm still very critical of the voters and the process in which the majority vote. It was stated that RamQ was persuaded to run, which means he hadn't even though about it till others talked him into it. I understand that the offsite would have liked for someone there to win the election but if someone didn't want to be manager then why talk him into it?? I'm not saying this because I got 2nd either. I would have felt the same way if I got 5th. I'm not going to lie though, I am becoming more and more critical of the offsite, just because everyone believes they need to put their faith in those that have been members forever.

Knowledge- you were just as qualified to win elections as RamQ, Myself, or the other guys that ran but you got what....5 votes? That's messed up. And seriously ask yourself how that happened. On the offsite multiple people said they would vote for you until myself and RamQ joined in. So why exactly didn't you get their votes then?? I could be setting myself up for a lot of people to be pissed at me but I really don't care anymore. Love me or hate me, I just don't like to see the U.S. NT lose like this.

Isaiah is definitely right. The offsite community will support one candidate so much that no one else has a chance to win the election. If RamQ didn't want to run for manager, the community should not have forced him to do it. I would rather have someone who wants to be the manager of the national team to be in control of the team than someone who was talked into being the manager. Even though Isaiah is my hated league rival, I would support him to be the manager of the NT.

Just for the record, I had nothing to do with RamQ running but he did have the most impressive resume IMHO. During magiker's run as NT manager, there were very few people that would actually contributed to gameplanning and scouting for the NT. Not only was he one of those few people that participated on a regular basis but he also finished up Bowens training and turned him into the beast that he is today.

If I knew that RamQ would not have the time to devote to being the NT manager, I would have voted for someone else. I think there were multiple candidates that would have done a good job with help from the community. But hindsight is 20/20, its frustrating as hell but we can't change the past only make sure that the future NT manager actually has the time to dedicate themselves to the position.

I will pledge to help anyone that becomes NT manager to get the program back on its feet. I think there is some work that we can start doing now to make sure to minimize the catchup that the new NT manager will have to do.

I agree 100% that he had the most impressive resume at the time. He trained Bowens who is one of the best and was active in conversations.

I guess my rampage was out of frustration to the fact that too many times it's one manager that many offsite users focus on.

But to talk about 'resume'....what defines a great resume and is that what is more important when in general many mangers contribute to discussion for game threads?

Also, once again, this is no shot a RamQ. I've always respected him and agree that he knows his stuff.

Too many times the offsite rallies behind just one manager and it really does screw us.

Uhh... when else have we been "screwed" over? I haven't been involved with the offsite for too long but I'm pretty sure the past 5 seasons have seen us getting Silver or Gold in Worlds. I think that's a good thing, whether you can claim it was the offsite's doing or not, which I don't think you alone can though it may be part of the equation.

On that matter, its actually a pretty stupid idea that the offsite, of which you're a part of so you know how it works, rallies together behind a single candidate every time. Let's not keep perpetuating this all controlling offsite or us vs. them mentality. Sure, on the offsite people may be more vocal about who they're voting for and even try to sway others but everyone makes their own decision. As long as I've been involved, I've never seen a message stating that everyone on the offsite needs to vote for a certain candidate and there'd be no mechanism to force people to follow it anyways. Let's take a look back for some more proof, shall we.

s31 - Ram beat you 38-19, while clearly decisive, it isn't as if you received 0 votes and everyone backed a single manager.
s27 - magiker edged you out, 33-23, don't think it'd look this way if the offsite rallied to back one manager.
s26 - EBW also beat you by a similar margin, 42-29.

s28,29,30,32 were all one-sided after the manager had a World Finals appearance so I just don't think your statements hold true. Let's not forget magiker and EBW went on two 3 World Golds and 1 World Silver so you can't say a wrong choice was made.

You say you're not but you sound like someone who is a little bitter, or you're trying to start your campaign early, if you ask me. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be making a lot of these statements if you had won the previous election.

We all agree that RamQ being the manager these past seasons has been a disaster. And I admit to being one of the people who backed Ram. Don't know what has happened to him, I'd assume real life, but that does mean there could've been better choices. We know that now but at the time, I for one only knew he had been one of the most active managers as we chatted regularly, managed well to get to the NBBA, participated in NT game planning and trained Bowens, which does give him the best resume in my book as well. (And in regards to your resume comment, everyone can contribute to game planning but that doesn't make everyone's input as valuable.) I too would've taken back my vote for him but as Phyr said, hindsight is 20/20, all we can do is hope to have a well qualified manager for the upcoming seasons. Can we please stop this talk about the offsite dictating things... everyone can get involved, everyone has an opinion.

This isn't an us vs them mentality. Discussions on the offsite are one thing, but it is when certain individuals purposely state who they are voting for on the ON SITE. Do you believe this doesn't effect who the others vote for?

And I'm note trying to give the offsite a bad name. As you said, I am part of it and have been on for awhile. My thoughts are mine, your thoughts are yours, and everyone else's thoughts are their.

As for the voting, the last few elections in particular have been when I have seen it most, the more well known managers stating on site to get others to rally behind a certain manager. Is it legal? Yes. Is it smart? Maybe. But it is what can lead to this outcome. So all of those other elections I didn't have a problem with any of it because I didn't see anyone do that.

In all seriousness though...I'm just completely irate over the situation. I could care less if I got 5th place in that vote and Knowledge or someone else won. Just as long as we are competing. Heck, even if RamQ was active I would be happy. Just this.....I can't accept this. Like I said, love me or hate me, all I want to do is win.

More exposure for the off-site😎. All exposure is good exposure lol. I voted for you smallfrie :) hopefully you, knowledge or EBW run for NT. I do think people stating who they are voting for affected the results. A lot of managers look up to some of the experience managers so they side with them. People still do make their own decisions but it is what it is. Hopefully the next NT coach can get us going in the right direction again. Maybe we need to start asking commitment questions so this doesn't happen again. The USA NT is just irrelevant for two seasons so be it. Nothing we can do now about it. Let's hope this make us better and we learn from this.
