Second Team:
The Ironmen
Season 35 National Team selection is complete.

I'd like to start by recognizing the veterans who are retiring from the team:
- Yuusuke Tsunami, 145 Appearances (4th Best), also 6th best all time in points with 1499.
- Eita Wakatsuki, 124 Appearances (10th best)
- Shin Shidehara, 78 Appearances
- Ichiro Nishimura, 34 Appearances

A couple more veterans deserve to be called out. They retired over the last two season and I don't think I made mention of them:
- Kouzo Yasujiro, 167 Appearances (2nd Best), and 3rd best with 2029 points.
- Tohru Asano, 151 Appearances (3rd Best)

All these guys have been key pieces in what has been the best run in our National Team history. It is truly the end of an era.

I've held over a couple other aging Veterans, Yoshiaki Amori and Katsurou Matsumoto. Amori is still one of our best options at SF. Matsumoto can still provide us some valuable depth inside as we are very thin with our bigs and don't have good options to fully fill the roster with younger players. (I actually tried to cut both players from the team due to age but they are both still too valuable to let go of).

New additions to the team this season:
- Haruto Mukai, SF, 30, Miyazaki Rockers
- Yasuo Kakefu, SF, 27, Mythical Man-Month
- Hayuma Kimiyama, C, 23, Mythical Man-Month
- Masateru Kitahara, PF, 22, Sendai Queen

I have my eyes on a few other young players that I hope will work their way onto the team in the next few seasons.

K-Mat's icing his knees, and is prepared to drag those ol' bones across the hardwood for another season of effort.

Would be cool if we could get him to #1 all time leading scorer but I think he's too far back and not the same player he used to be.

Congratulations on the win vs Ireland. Just a scrimmage, but a good win against similar tier competition.
