Is the GS drop after repurchasing your own player an intended consequence? I'm not sure it has ever been clarified

Before they changed it, I believe that:
- after you repurchased you could still sell at 97% (no idea why it should drop to by 20% or more).
- the transaction didn't count towards the 'purchases' in the last 14 weeks because this system was introduced much later.
- didn't have GS hit (again this might have been before the GS hit was introduced).
I think all of these points are somewhat problematic and probably don't encourage people to list players in order to see if they can get what they believe is a fair price: after all you're not really buying a new player but just retaining your own. Personally I've been annoyed in the past by the GS hit more than anything else.
Any change affecting a transfer between teams, also affects a repurchase except for things that are based on continuity of tenure with a team (like the playoff issue listed above, HoF eligibility etc).

I accidentally deleted my message trying to correct a language mistake, sigh.
Btw they are no big issues but I've always been a bit disappointed by the fact that there is almost no difference compared to a purchase from another team. I wouldn't waste resources on this though.

If you put a player on the market, that "player knows" you're not interested on him, so his confidence drop is reflected with a GS hit

ok, makes sense.
What about the sale tax change for that player (going from 97% to whatever number <80%) and for the rest of the team (I'm pretty sure I checked when I tried to sell McPhorich last season and if I'm not mistaken the re-purchase did go in the calculation to determine the team haircuts).

No clue about this one
:/
A purchase of a player that doesn't change teams shouldn't count towards sales tax because you did not sell him at all.
I think you are making a contract revision of sorts

Right now, I would receive 57% if I decide to sell him today.
