I remember you. I think we were in the same league at some point.

What makes the game is not just the domination of teams like the arrows or KDB but those who do use some creative license as Canon. That is why squads like the Eugene Register Guard,Milwaukee Lethargy and I'll replace you with machines always have resonated .

As for how my higgledy piggledy little team has contributed to the story in our thirty seasons of existence is we contribute not just some snark and strangeness to the proceedings but the ability to sometimes play in a game that is memorable for both sides. Just ask the Cacti. Our other way is by keeping in steed in our league. Oh we don't ever contend, but we don't go away either, sure it drives the fans nuts and to be honest if there is any franchise in the BB universe who could stand a season or two back in the bush to recalibrate it is thy. But screw that, we live for our pain. But to steal a line from the Rick and Morty episode "Meseeks and destroy" existence is pain. Then again. If they thought getting two strokes off Jerry's golf game was an impossible task, no telling how they would react if they were pressed into service to get this team promoted.

I tell you what else drives the narrative and that is rivals. To with in my 15 seasons in III.5 aka "slaughterhouse five" my rival for all but two seasons has been Deronimo. Who is a guy who has been in this same league for 25 seasons, former NBBA participant, playing since season three, but without doubt the Susan Lucci of buzzerbeater. Then again when our teams face off he turns into Betty Davis torturing Joan Crawford in whatever happened to baby Jane. But by gawd it is the definition of a fixture if there ever was one.

I agree with this as well, and I remember some of those canon teams. All in all, there should be some reverence within being in some of the lower leagues. Also more storytelling focus on rivalries. maybe even a game mechanic focus on those said rivalries. I propose a separate hall of fame for specific managers, no matter what league they are in. Teams like (hrudey) Ric Smits Clogs, a guy who innovated the Princeton offense, ( Wozz) Burlington Mountain Goats a manager who was a major Innovator in elastic effect and training speeds, and even (magiker) The King and I a manager who was able to created the most dominant period for our National Team. Should be recognized within BB lore and not forgotten.

As Upsyndrome/A-Dub's mentor during his peak, I must insist that his love of Mystic Pizza never be forgotten. And be prominently displayed in some fashion next to any Hall-Of-Fame exhibit, plaque, or other item featuring him or his team.

Ahh shikago my old collegue, just the man I needed to speak with!

As manager of the Scrappy underdog story that is the Japan u21 i have been using this stretch of the schedule to take my team on a "American Tour". The first stop was a trip to my Greensboro Coliseum so I could show them off to the folks back home. Second saw a stop down the road in Raleigh where my boys played at the spanking brand new Fetzer Gymnasium to show them off to the supporters old friend Coach Thompson who has a expansion franchise in the Raleigh Senators. Now it is time to take these kids on a trip to a true 'Merican BB landmark and what epitomizes that more than the history and tradition contained in the abandoned mall! Got feelers out for opponents that look like a strong competitive fit (got to put on a good show ya know) but the main thing is to teach my boys a little history lesson, "gentleman if you look down there that seat encased in bronze is where Rebecca Black once sat"....."over to your left is the Lethargy HOF which is located in what they used to call a 'dressbarn' which is where the women of the region would go to buy clothing designed to best hide their cottage cheese thighs bought on by too many years of mozzarella sticks.
