It's this time of the season when your investment to young players will pay you back. Each league has 48 new players to choose from, and you can use the Edit Draft Order button in the Menu to choose your draft pick order. The Draft will take place at the end of this season play-off games (June 1st), therefore make sure that you have picked your draft players before the deadline!

In other news, the 10% "Income Share" to players of Division Ι teams had the desirable result, therefore it will be eliminated in the end of the current season. There will be some additional changes regarding the economy of the game, in our effort to make the game better.

Good luck to our four semifinalists for the World Championships today. Top qualifiers Deutschland are facing USA, while España and Italia face off in the other semifinal.

Game Engine Changes -- Situation Update

We released an updated version of the game engine at the start of this season after having tested it in scrimmages for the past seven weeks. It included many technical changes that have been asked about over the past few seasons and were developed in our simulation of NBA games, including enhanced shot blocking and a more realistic passing model.

Unfortunately, Saturday's games showed that, for certain types of games, tuning the engine based upon scrimmages results in new flaws, including higher scoring than we had expected. While there are many good things that will result from these improvements, the point of introducing these changes was to improve the accuracy of the BuzzerBeater game engine, and so we are returning to the Season 8 game engine until the all-star break, when we will be releasing the latest, retuned version. The one exception will be home court advantage, where the improved model, which allows high-division road teams to be more competitive, will remain and has been translated into the old engine.

We remain dedicated to producing not only the most realistic basketball simulation available but also quality gameplay, and we'd like to thank everybody in the forums who helped us find the best decision to balance those two goals
