Congratulations for your redundant post.

My mistake was to adress a thin-skinned person, I dont object your math genius calculations. Theory is one thing, but as long as you cant prove it by showng real percentages it is useless (adressed to multiple unknown firestarters) to panic people by throwing out fantasy numbers like 40-50% loss if only 47 minutes obtained.

Kkthxbye

There was only an issue because you didn't read what Manon wrote correctly. He gave a general example of what exponential growth is using 1.0 as a round number. He then went on to say that the reality is far more then 50% for 47 minutes. At no point did he say 50% is the reality and very clearly stated this wasn't the case.

Seriously......

What a ridiculous thing to have in this game... One minute less and your player doesn't train properly? Game time should only count in a major way towards one thing, and that is experience. To a lesser extent stamina and other skills to an even lesser extent.

2 position train that skill you were going to 1 position train, or train something that would is automatically 2 position.

I actually think he's right. Training should be you dedicate a certain percentage of your coaching staff's time to certain players. There could be a multiplier for playing time, but the current system suggests young players will never get any better if they don't (a) get playing time in the right position and (b) get the attention from the "trainer." So practice time and experience of being in the league don't matter at all.

I realize this would change the game management system, but it would still be better.

Anyways, I just wish BB would call "trainers" assistant coaches instead. A "trainer" in basketball is about physical condition, not basketball skills.

How would you go about training then?

Rugbymania (www.rugbymania.net) has an excellent system, whereby there is team training and individual training. You choose a skill for the team to train and you can set a certain number of individuals in the team to have extra training. The individual training is a lot more effective than team training. You can train more younger players (17-20) than you can older players (21-29). Players 30+ don't get training, except for experience.

This makes sense. It doesn't make any sense whatsoever for a player who plays PG or C to not be able to go down to the court and shoot 500 shots and improve his outside shooting. It's simply ridiculous.
