No prob, Bob! Damn, IV.63 is dead, lol. I posted my rankings yesterday fo them ... still no chatter.

I was surprised by this weeks rankings. I've had Clay Chow and Mario Mannu start out the season strong before but that was just one guy each season for the first game. I've hardly ever had more than 1 or 2 players record a performance that achieved a Z-Score > 3.00 for a given game but the very first week of Season 15 in III.4 and we already have 3 players score the Legendary mark. Those scores will drop over the course of the season but it won't be by much and they'll each still receive their maximum payout on the points awarded for the first game. I've never had more than 1 player score the maximum on the first game and Saturday III.4 had 3. Wowsers.

I am going to go ahead and make a hypothesis that these three top performers are going to have these games recorded in the Top 20 Performances of Season 15 by the end of the season.

FYI: I've gone through Season 12 and Season 13 now. I did some compiling of the Top 20 games for each of those seasons as well and I've gotta say, Season 13 was not looking so hot. Season 12's Top 20 Performances all consisted of games that registered above +3.00 on the Normal Bell Curve for players that accumulated at least 16 minutes of game action. Season 13 only had 11 players register above +3.00 on the NBC. I'll have to go back through Season 14's to see where the lowest Z-Score was at for the Top 20 Performances but I don't think Season 14 had any less than 16 that scored above the +3.00 threshold.

Speaking of Mannu, who wants to buy a former III.4 MVP?

Speaking of Former III.4 Players:

Clinton Cantrell: (4475976)
---A former child prodigy that grew up on the wild side of the cul de sac in Highland Park of Chicago, Clinton Cantrell, a former 23rd best player of III.4 three seasons removed, looks to catch onto some team, any team, outside of Division IV. For a mere $2M dollars ... or $800K in BB Bucks, you can own, wait, this is Black History Month; you can pay this player a handsome salary to lead your crap team into a world of riches only the whitest of the blacks know ... solidarity my brotha's!

Francisco Candia: (716392)
---The latest message received from Candia was garbled gobbledy-goop; Our lame attempts to translate proved futile, or for better description, we came up limp. Therefore, I'll just let you in on the scoop of this player. He'll give your team all the glory you can handle ... and then some, and, provided you offer him a 50 pesos incentive, he'll throw in a happy ending for everyone ... not by him, of course, but by his many dozen glorious sisters. A bid on him is a bid on a happy ending. At the very least, you can meet your minimum requirement of 1 foreign born player on every American team.

Game 2 recaps

Well this seemed to be the game for blowouts so lets get those quickly out of the way.

Crank dat at Blasters

By half time this one was over. Blasters had 6 in double figures and Ichaso had 27 without playing in the 4th. Novoa for Crank dat had 24 but needed the rest of his team to show up more then he needed the points. Blasters 136 Crank dat 60.

Phantoms at Champaign

When your team has more turnovers then field goals you know it is bound to be a rough night. Phantoms had everybody in double digit scoring..............it appeared that included the 60 yo assist coach. This one was no contest! After the 1st quarter fans were headed home and by the third the announcers were arguing over pretzels and popcorn............live on air. Phantoms 120 Champaign 41

VD's at Cleveland

Well the Crazy looked like the real Cavs tonight laying a huge egg at home. When your backup center leads the team in 3 point shots made pack it up and go home early. This was a televised game aind by halftime the TV crews switched to the new OWN network for a re run of Dr. Phil. Benson and Wilson both had double doubles for the VD's fans in points and rebounds. A loan bright spot for the Crazy's fans was the new big man Marmolejo who had 18pts and 19 rebs.
VD's 91 Crazy's 56

Challengers at Phakeouts

This was a game until the 2nd half when Rudin and gang took over. The Phakeouts were outrebounded and could not stop the assists that were flying around the court. The Challengers put 6 in double digits and even Jerkic who drained 28 for the Phakeouts could not keep his team in the game. Challenger 111 Phakeouts 76.

Flames at Dutchmen

The Flames were doused tonight as the Dutchmen torched the Flames by 26. Cakic and his 28 points could not keep the Flames in it and the fire was out by the 3rd quarter. Dutchmen put 6 in double digits. Dutchmen 101 Flames 75

Prov City at BobCats

57 three point shots were taken in this game and the fans were not disappointed with the pace just the outcome. Prov city had 6 in double digits and Serra had a double double. Prov City 102 Bobcats 81

Now for some closer games!

Red Terrors at Tachenko

The Red Terrors came into Tachenkos place tonight and it appears Tachenko was not scared. Tachenko had Butler score 29 and Mayagoita score 24 as they combined for 55 of Tachenko's points. Mayagoita also pulled in 16 boards for his second straight impressive game underneath. The Terrors had 4 in double digits with Hengyi leading the Terrors with 24. In the end the Terrors may want to practice a few more 3 pointers and Tachenko pulled it out 105-93.

Ron Swanson at No Potential

No Potential came out firing in the first quarter and never looked back. Each team had four players in double digits and both teams struggled with turnovers and fouls but in the end a rebounding edge was too much to overcome for the All Stars. NP 91 All Stars 76

Game 2 CO MVP

Ichaso 27 points, 3 boards, 6 asts, 5 steals
Butler 29 points 3 rebs, 6 asts, 3 steals

Game 2 Standouts

Donny Benson 21 points 10 boards and 4 asts
Mayagoita 24 points 16 boards
Cakic 28 points 4 boards 4 steals
Phantoms 7 in double digits
Butler 29 points 3 rebs, 6 asts, 3 steals

I kind of feel like I need to apologize to champaign. I didn't do an adequate enough job of scouting for the week, so I defaulted to reserving my better lineup for the road game. That plus the injury kinda made things a little out of hand...

Maybe I'll pick up Mannu AND Candia. That way I can have a III.4 reunion team with a starting lineup of Mays, Barr, Mannu and Candia.

Somebody else will need to sell a SF because I don't think I've ever had one of those on my squad. ;-)
