Congrats on the GM!

What's next, they going to reincarnate Andy Kaufman and make him police chief?

edit - after the making-you-feel-like-your-shrinking expierment..of course.

First I was a bit discouraged by the cartoon faces. Now I hardly see them, but it can be a repellent to a new user. I gather they're completely random. It could be interesting to randomize faces according to their skills and positions/heights. i.e. Defensive players with bigger chick bones, Outside shooters with bigger ears:), Centers with bigger jaws, Good passers with bigger eyes etc. At least then when you're looking at a cartoon face it tells you something. Of course all the skills would be relative to this player, so a well rounded player would have an "even" face.
The faces could be updated once a season, - more off season excitement!

That's pretty funny! Evolving faces based on skill development.

John Stockton has kind of smallish beady eyes, though, and he was a pretty darn good passer. Maybe legendary dunkers should have extended tongues?

Nice point about the cartoon faces on the intro page. I never really thought about this before, but I can see how cartoon faces might not be the best first-impression to give prospective new managers since they don't really communicate "realistic basketball simulation", it looks more like "arcade basketball circa 1991". It's definitely something that should be considered if BB ever goes through an image overhaul.

Don't ask what sort of Chunks they are, you probably don't want to know. Blowing Chunks since Season 4!

but not everyone search the same, when he registered here ;) And sometimes also the complexity scares people, but it is also the reason why we had veterans here.

i think the faces, are another example why u cannot keep everybody, some people really like them and prefer then over pseudo realisitic one the other side there are people who might be real. For me it fits, with the sometimes weird namebase and i could smile about some configuration and won't exchange then :) i think with the names i am in the minority, with the comic faces i believe most people like them and when they want to change it they like to see more configurations(which is obviously a other topic, because for a first impression there are enough different faces)

Hum, when I look at your LOGO, I can see why they fit, but still I find it hard to believe that you've ever smiled. I thank you though for making me understand that I'm wrong.

If you have never smiled when you saw a player name then Major Cock just doesn't translate well - or you don't have an infantile sense of humor like me.

I think the best thing is for BB to have a database which has tracking on users when they sign, log off, no longer used, if happened after going into bankruptcy that people departed.... Obviously this is all part of coding so its done automatic. Besides, this is a wise thing to do not just in BB but in any business, and it can be useful for many other things besides checking just why number of users are shrinking.

Important thing to consider are the trends of rise/decline of users over the duration of a BB's season. Such as if at the end or beginning of a season, how significant is the decline rate of users, which would happen because many users may give up on BB if they fail to promote to new division for example.
