i wouldn't call it fun -- i would say it is necessary.
i am about to embark on a program of rebuilding -- what others are calling "tanking" -- because frankly i see no other way. at the levels i was reaching, there was little or no room for error -- and i made mistakes, foolish purchases, not using the money available wisely, boxing myself into a corner with no future except a slow death.
i have decided to be one of those 0-22 teams that you may seen in a conference (we had one this season in DII.4) -- i hate what it does to the competition, but i fully understand that sometimes to get to where you want to go, you gotta take four steps back. i tell myself that this next time i do it right . . .
but for the next four seasons, i doubt if i win 20% of my games . . .
