I don't mind. You'd work it out pretty quickly anyway. Looks like your stocking up on competitive 29 year old roster fillers. :)

It is great to see this si still the best forum in d3. I had a really boring season tanking with the Mad Ranga fighting me for 1st pick in the draft & they were both bad lol. We thought we were getting Dwight Howard & Kevin Durant but they turned out to be Kwame Brown & Jimmer Ferdette. Jimmer can be yours for $1. Now I am in 3/14 with my best team ever, a pile of cash & strong trainees so I feel good so far.

Hahahahaha... yeah we got seriously dudded in the draft!

I'm glad we got to share the tanking experience together... makes me feel closer to you.... like... i've crawled inside you like a warm kitten.

So yeah I fell into III.2 and it's not too bad, so far there's been 2 other forum posters, so not quite like here.
but the other manager that's active is likely who I will face in the Grand Final playoffs, so that's pretty good.

Who's going to win III.12 this season???

aw shucks u lads bring a tear to an old mans eyes!

tito, get me some tissues... :P

loving the proposed changes for season 23! i think what they are doing is a brilliant response.. instead of outright nerf LI, increase the effect of shot block! the most neglected skill in the game now really has a purpose.. training those bigs now is almost as tough as a good guard!

loving the change to the gameshape on trade.. hopefully that will have a massive impact and we can see a more stable TL, as opposed to the pre-playoff spike and flat rest of season!

i wont win 3.12! but am having fun so far spanking bots! (claimer for ranga : BOTS = inactive AI controlled teams..)

Sorry to hear about both of you guys experience in the draft, what is going on with the drafts? How do they decide if there is going to be decent players or not? Is there any way to affect the quality of the draft?

It's great to see both of you guys scribing here in this forum, your experience is invaluable, and we are graced to have your presence.

I think Axis has the best resources to go all the way this season if he wants too, otherwise maybe Be High throws a spanner and finds a way to finally go all the way...

Promotion and the daunting task that is Div II competitiveness might just be enough for any of the other teams to desire a Championship this season.

Also loving the changes. For the increase in cost for the SB skill, it only makes sense. Will be interesting to see how they play out.

@Skyhookz - Jermaine, stop teasing!!!

Can't believe you're down in Div4 man. Is there a master plan? Are you absolutely swimming in money?
I'd love to hear more about your long term plans there.

I agree, I'm glad they're going to make LI "less effective", which should hopefully see a rise in outside based teams, which as I always played PG/SG jackin 3's and what not, this warms my heart to see.
It also changes the way I look at training.
When I trained Wall, I cringed when he popped in Shot Blocking, because it was almost useless and Super expensive when it came to Salary increases. Now it might be value for money. Will have to see what the results are like after ASW.

Also yes, the GS hit for renta-stars is awesome.
It makes absolute sense, and even tho it can affect NT's it's fairly legit.
When you join a new club you're always going to have a "feeling out" period... and I reckon they should maybe introduce a 5% chance for a GS increase when transferring clubs. Because conversely, sometimes you change teams and things just CLICK!

Glad you're having fun down there mate, watch your mouth or I'll spank your bot....wait... no... i wont. SHUT UP!

Mr Lazy,

Thanks for the condolences regarding the trade... really it's not that big of a deal, it would have been a nice bonus to get someone worth selling for $1million, but it's so rare these days, in the past few seasons since the salary changes happened the quality of draftees seems to have, on average, gone down the shitter... pardon my language.
I don't think there is a way to actively affect the draft.

I will always come back to III.12 as it is the first place I really enjoyed playing the game.
Div IV was boring, as it's mostly bots, and III.12 being so prolific on the forums is just a wonderful environment.

Axis would certainly have the experience and the coin to do with you all as he pleases.
Will he be nice? or will he wait til ASW and buy a $500k roster and make love to you in a very uncomfortable spot? (no, i do not mean like in the back of a volkswagen!"

It would be good to see someone from the red side do something big this season.
Be High will never promote ( I hope he reads this and takes it as a challenge ) but he has been in the #1 spot on the red for a million years now and has is still there in III.12
I would think by now he could have over $5million.
Being king of the Red side is a cheap exercise usually, normally get 18+ wins a season (with the top 4 of the blue normally being stronger sides) and could do all this with a $200k roster or there abouts.
Unlike the blue side who have to spend $250 - $350k to be the king.

If I had my time again I would have tried to finish 5th in this division for 2 more seasons, building up a bank roll before promoting to Div II.
To promote ahead of Bains, Hippos and Skyhookz I had to really over spend and ended up promoting with little more than my promotion bonus.
So my advice to everyone, do not promote with less than $1million in spare change.
:)

Also guys who haven't yet seen, check out the Wombat federation.
Bunch of us aussie managers (from Div IV - ABBL) get in there and discuss all things BB (and some things non-BB)
:)

Long term plans : dont have any.. RL has settled down somewhat last few weeks, but news today means it is gonna go crazy! sick family member was able to look after himself somewhat, but has now been advised his doctors have reported him to Vicroads as being unfit to drive, so his reliance on us again cranks up a gear! until this situation is resolved, i will float between div 3 and 4.. i will be dumbfounded if i cant beat a bunch of bots :P

first week in div 4 was bad :D with my expensive 150k roster i lost 9k for the week. with my 100k player now sold, i am looking to make about 90kthis week, hopefully more with 2 wins in a row! cup is not a focus, if i lose rnd 1, so be it :D

as for money.. i have just shy of $4,000,000 now.. so assuming things stay status quo, would expect to be around 5.5m by end of season.

no plans to sign anyone.. no plans to sell anyone!

Player Salaries: $ 51 924 Attendance: $ 102 989
Staff Salaries: $ 28 006 Merchandise: $ 14 949
Scouting: $ 20 000 TV Contract: $ 64 906
Total: $ 99 930 Total: $ 182 844
Typical Weekly Net Income: $ 82 914

Total Skyhook Dreamers cash reserves: $ 3 840 447

attendance is smacked cause of relegation bonus, but hopefully a few wins in a row and once get through half way point of season will pick up!

glad to be in div 4... hated the div 3 i was in last season, and know i always have a home here so not to worried about being alone :D means i can just focus on training, and deal with the RL shit as it escalates!
