@Skyhookz - Jermaine, stop teasing!!!
Can't believe you're down in Div4 man. Is there a master plan? Are you absolutely swimming in money?
I'd love to hear more about your long term plans there.
I agree, I'm glad they're going to make LI "less effective", which should hopefully see a rise in outside based teams, which as I always played PG/SG jackin 3's and what not, this warms my heart to see.
It also changes the way I look at training.
When I trained Wall, I cringed when he popped in Shot Blocking, because it was almost useless and Super expensive when it came to Salary increases. Now it might be value for money. Will have to see what the results are like after ASW.
Also yes, the GS hit for renta-stars is awesome.
It makes absolute sense, and even tho it can affect NT's it's fairly legit.
When you join a new club you're always going to have a "feeling out" period... and I reckon they should maybe introduce a 5% chance for a GS increase when transferring clubs. Because conversely, sometimes you change teams and things just CLICK!
Glad you're having fun down there mate, watch your mouth or I'll spank your bot....wait... no... i wont. SHUT UP!
Mr Lazy,
Thanks for the condolences regarding the trade... really it's not that big of a deal, it would have been a nice bonus to get someone worth selling for $1million, but it's so rare these days, in the past few seasons since the salary changes happened the quality of draftees seems to have, on average, gone down the shitter... pardon my language.
I don't think there is a way to actively affect the draft.
I will always come back to III.12 as it is the first place I really enjoyed playing the game.
Div IV was boring, as it's mostly bots, and III.12 being so prolific on the forums is just a wonderful environment.
Axis would certainly have the experience and the coin to do with you all as he pleases.
Will he be nice? or will he wait til ASW and buy a $500k roster and make love to you in a very uncomfortable spot? (no, i do not mean like in the back of a volkswagen!"
It would be good to see someone from the red side do something big this season.
Be High will never promote ( I hope he reads this and takes it as a challenge ) but he has been in the #1 spot on the red for a million years now and has is still there in III.12
I would think by now he could have over $5million.
Being king of the Red side is a cheap exercise usually, normally get 18+ wins a season (with the top 4 of the blue normally being stronger sides) and could do all this with a $200k roster or there abouts.
Unlike the blue side who have to spend $250 - $350k to be the king.
If I had my time again I would have tried to finish 5th in this division for 2 more seasons, building up a bank roll before promoting to Div II.
To promote ahead of Bains, Hippos and Skyhookz I had to really over spend and ended up promoting with little more than my promotion bonus.
So my advice to everyone, do not promote with less than $1million in spare change.
:)
Also guys who haven't yet seen, check out the Wombat federation.
Bunch of us aussie managers (from Div IV - ABBL) get in there and discuss all things BB (and some things non-BB)
:)
