Good passing beats 2-3 zone

No it doesn't. It sure helps, but not without shooting. Good shooting (high JR is not necessary) beats it.

You missed my point of what I saying. I don't think tactics change in style of play because anyone in d4 or what ever level can get those correct talented players to play the tactic correctly. I don't see how it lessen the tactic effectiveness.

It still as strong or as weak as your team talent. Tactic depends on the player skills not level of play. My point

Right. But i wanted to point out shooting is more important than the flow against 2-3, whereas the opposite is true against 3-2.

We are saying the same thing...

3-2 puts more pressure on ball handlers, so your Offensive flow must be good (HA+PA).

2-3 doesn't put any pressure on ball handlers, but who are they going to pass to if the interior is clogged? Inside players still make a good FG% against 2-3, but their field goal attempts are much more limited that those against M2M and thus outside players are forced to take midrange and outside shots. So without good shooting you are dead in water against 2-3. Estonia couldn't beat our 2-3 with Kriisk at PG who had more than 6M DMI and 300k salary at that time. He was really a monster PG, but I think he had something like 14/10 shooting.

On the other hand, Dyonisius didn't have any player with Passing 14 or more and he won comfortably against 2-3 because his outside players had JS 16-17 (58832734)

Think driving and passing also creating shots from mid range . Some might come from the double team and the pf/.c has good passing. He can get the ball to such players. I'd like clear up the passing. I meant good team passing is needed, not just 1 player overall. They might let the double team occur and pass to mid range or using dribbling/handling skill and create their own mid range spot up jumper.

I cant speak for that game it depends on who is guarding this guy and how strong the double team was in that game 14/10 is still not bad at all.. Some players can create shots better than the next player and beat the zone or get to the FT line..

I think Li is good for that with good team passing when playing 2/3 zone as defense. It just make a lot of sense because most guards don't have inside defense or mid range defense in the proper fashion. But they have good passing and other things to create baskets. Li would bring the double team and it pretty much will carve to the bone, with a player with a player 16/7 js also and dribble, high driving.. He can pretty much do what he wants from mid range.

the 1st pg was looking for smarter shots while helping his team get the play done.the second pg was not, he created his own shots within his own ability, there also some kick back passing to him. that just my take.. not saing your wrong or anything.

I still really do feel of you 2 dynamic sf in 2/3 it will work. What your take on that. Since ran 2/3 on a Nt level
