hey guy's,

i know i might be asking for a lot, but i'd like to move the B3 discussions aswell as anything none related from the BBBL (general Buzzerbeater stuff, cup convo etc) to the Belgium forum. I've been in the IRC chat more often as of late, and i've been comming across some managers (6x III aswell as a couple II's every now and then) and all of them said that they find it regretable that the Belgium forum is so dead. However, this is one of the few fora which is still active. Hence, i'd like to ask the BBBL managers to try and help me get our users back to the Belgium forums.

All this requires of you is reading a second forum and making the effort of writing the posts about none BBBL stuff in the belgium General fora. I will try to set up some stuff (a cup convo, a B3 thread etc) with the hopes of getting some activity back, but the truth is if the BBBL managers don't back me up, then it will be doomed to fail (ofcourse, if any of you know of any II managers, then i'd love to have them join the attempt). I have asked the couple of lone wolfs in the IRC chat what they thought about the game and they say that it would be more interesting if we had a more active community. i'm not asking you to write 10x more forum posts. Just to move your none BBBL related stuff to the Belgium main forum. I'd be gratefull for all and any help. if anyone should have some brilliant idea's for fun topics, feel free to discuss it here or PM me about them. This community once heald over 580 proud managers and if we don't make an effort, we will end up being a micronation. imo, the less active managers we have, the less rivalries we have & information sharing we have, which then leads to our community slowely bleeding out (not to mention the smaller talentpool to find on the TL & the smaller pool that our NT coach can draw from).

I'm hoping you guy's will pitch in where possible. i'll try to set everything up (altho i'll most likely be in France during the first week of next season, desperately working on my surfing skills ;)

Ahah, good job, I always forget about that. Not that it would matter much however xD

why am i not surprized :P you can completely dissect teams by just watching ratings, guessing enthusiasm etc! If it weren't for the tanking superteams, i reckon you would have won a B3 by now.

anyhow, new season is comming and changes in the forum will be there (just bear with me since i might not be able to execute them all in week 1). Start of the new season is amongst the most bussiest for all the GM's. New prospects sold, pricing sometimes get out of hand, Election time (means some fora just explode and require close monitoring) a lot of new teams applying to get there team, etc.

But thusfar, i've thought about the following:

*) Usefull links (although that one needs some updating!)
*) player advertissement
*) Belgiums HoF (for managers). Top post will be updated with names, where as each season, a new post will be made to add to new managers or to mention there performances.

unpinned posts:
*) Cup
*) B3 (i'd ask of our B3 participants to make a little post about there goals for the B3 season once they know the teams they are facing. This will be a test to see if there is any feedback on it and if anyone else keeps track off it. Players who use B3 predictions should be interested in this)
*) U21 thread (posting about how the games go)
*) NT thread (posting about how the games go)
*) HOF nomination (we'll let it run the first 6 weeks of the season) after which a new topic will be opened for the voting
*) Q&A with a league veteran (Each month, i'll be asking a manager to answer any question the league members might have for him. This can go from predictions of divisions, predictions on BB, to how to build up a team, etc. Picking the brain of some veteran managers should be interesting for all managers)

Does anyone feel the need for the return of the 'klaagmuur' / 'vreugdemuur'?


Also, i'd like to ask something:
I've noticed that the U21 Thread gets a post after each summary. However, the NT rarely does. I understand why Dartreb stopped making the posts, however i'm trying to figure out why our U21 does get feed back, where as the NT doesn't.

Back in season 33 we had the best (best = most answered) topic, but of course we had an excellent run, with some crazy results (win against France) and many people were following the NT.

Unfortunately things didn't turn out to be so good later on, perhaps this had an influence on the topic interest.

I had a very poor NT run this season, and being away and not be able to properly field teams or make posts wasn't a great help either, but besides that I may have a theory :

U21 seems "close", a reasonable goal for a trained player while NT seems "far", requiring too much training dedication, money, or wage sustainability. Therefore "it's not for me". Which is of course false, but you can't help countering the feeling I guess.

Or maybe it's my fault and having a new coach will improve things, no idea.

Big clash tomorrow between Providence and Amenra.

I am sure that the winner of that game will be champion, because I don't see Vottem or Arlon being able to match them. Both team have awesome GS, that's pretty tough to guess which one will get through !

And 4th championship in a row for Amenra, now officially the second longest victory stream since Joe.

Right now I don't think red teams can compete with Amenra or Providence, I hope that some day our conference will be able to reverse the tables but not that soon I'm afraid ...

From my side I coud not manke the necessary recruitements this year to have a competitive team so I say goodbye to you all and maybe I will be back some day. Enjoy the game and good luck for next season!
