If your team needs it then train it, the difference in training him when he is 21 and when he is 22 will not be much.

This is a trainee i bought from the TM in the begining of the season:

Weekly salary: $ 5 401

DMI: 22400
Age: 18
Height: 6'7" / 201 cm
Potential: star
Game Shape: respectable

Jump Shot: mediocre Jump Range: mediocre
Outside Def.: inept Handling: average
Driving: average Passing: average
Inside Shot: strong ↑ Inside Def.: respectable
Rebounding: respectable Shot Blocking: respectable
Stamina: respectable Free Throw: average

He only had 2 pops so far becuz of his tiny size :$ but im still planning to train him as PF until he gets at least prolific IS, ID and RB.
Im currently planning to buy a Superior trainer to speed this guy up.
Do you think there's a chance this guy will have prominent ID, prominent IS, and prolific RB by the end of this season if i have Superior trainer?

No passing training? He won't be the best U21 SG unless he can pass. Aus U21 SG was far ahead at the same age.

Work on some FT too eh?

If you want to make him a PF, I would say for you to train some outside skills first like OD or Passing. Nice prospect though ;)

That's a pity. A SG should be able to defend, pass and score!

But whatever makes them happy I suppose =)

Here's my favorite trainee:

Age:19
Height:6'6/198 cm
Potential:Allstar
Gameshape:Strong

Jump Shot:Proficient Jump Range:Inept
Outside Def:Inept Handiling:Respectable
Driving:Average Passing:Average
Inside Shot:Average Inside Def:Inept
Rebounding:Respectable Shot Blocking:Atrocious
Stamina:mediocre Free Throw:Awful

Experience:Atrocious

He's popped in Jump Shot a few times this year and right now i'm after a couple weeks of Jump Shot Training, which he got popped both weeks, i'm now training Passing. Later this season, i'm going to train, not in order but i'll train, rebounding, free throw, passing a little more maybe some driving and especially his outside def. I'm building my team around this player and he is my star.

I eventually want this player to become a u21 player, he's a small forward. And also i want him to become a great shooter, but i know i have to work on his outside defense a lot this year, what do you think of this player and his potential? And also do you think he could be a u21 player?

That would depend on how bad things are in Finland, but without looking, I'd say it's doubtful. The U21 team is an arms race, and since your guy is already 19 and his best skill is only 9, I'm sure there are a fair number of better prospects in his age group. That isn't to say he's a bad player, but some defense of either sort wouldn't hurt a bit ;)

You could always send a BBmail to the Finnish U21 coach and ask him. The worst he could do is say no

I don't think his defense will be good enough to be an U21 player.
