Oh, is that how it works?

My point was not about how to decide home court advantage. It was that home court advantage is and should be an advantage. Whether or not it should be used in B3 is a different question. Since there is no arena revenue for B3 games, I think it could be cool to have the B3 played in random gyms. Does seem like it would even the field.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

Yeap i agree with you. What i wanted to point before is that HCA has smaller effect in the NBA comparing to BB. You said that 14 of 15 play off series were won by the team with the HCA. No argument here, but usually those teams are the best anyway.

i can see what you are saying. HCA should be an advantage. If you look on the current NBA table than you will see that without the top 4 or so teams and 1 or 2 exceptions most teams get their wins at home. Charlotte, Utah, Toronto I think are great examples. I think HCA advantage works well in this game, so it shouldnt be changed.

The question now is, whether HCA should decide the B3 games or whether it should won by the best team that comes up with the best tactics and I think that is what you mean and I agree with that.

The best team + coach should win the game and it should be played on a neutral court instead off the game being decided by HCA...

Certainly has been discussed I believe to play the BBB-matches on neutral courts, why aren't they (from the first rounds)?

If I remember correctly, Charles stated that he wanted half of the teams to be able to watch their games at their regular times. Of course, that is what is done for the semi-finals and finals, yet those games are played in neutral venues. In one off games, neutral venues (just like the NCAA basketball tourney) would seem the best way to identify the best teams - and I am not saying that just because 11 of my past 12 bbb games were away draws.

One suggestion from me, is when one team wins the championship and the cup, the tournament finalist will be able to play on BBB too. Little off topic, but i had that thought for long time

what i like to see, is the removing of the lifetime "wildcard" for ex champions. It looks kind of weird to have a bot playing it. Let them play just the next BBB

One suggestion that comes to mind off the top of my head is a format similar to the FA Cup, where the top teams do not enter until the 3rd round. Top team would be any team with a world rank of (...pauses to check Gachai world ranking...) say 75 or better. Then rounds would be a home and away aggregate score differential on Wednesday and Sunday. Maybe that is an idea that could be worked with.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

Here’s a crazy for some changes in BBB.
One thing’s for sure: there must be 128 teams left for the 2nd round. In the current system, there are about 10-20 teams that need to be eliminated in the first round, depending of the number of countries that have only 1 team in BBB (about 50).
There are 96 countries at this moment in BB and if there would be 2 representatives from each country that means 192 teams. In order to remain 128 in the 2nd round, 64 teams would have to be eliminated in 64 games. The number may grow with the creation of new countries and with the number of “white cards”. In this stage of the competition (1st round) the aprox. 50 teams with silver trophy could face each other and the best teams in the world (let’s say top 100) could be ruled out from the draw.
This system might annoy some gold trophy teams that would face better silver trophy teams but the current system, at this moment, definitely disadvantages good teams the get stuck behind world top leaders. Another problem would be how to chose between the finalist of the first league playoff and the finalist in the tournament.

In the end let’s face the facts…the current system is much, much simpler and that might be enough to never see a change, no matter what we might come-up with.

I like it as-is - you have to actually win something to qualify.
