Interesting night last night! East Gary sits their starters (likely to prepare for a Cup showdown), giving a nice little boost to the Mashers rating. The team rankings for the Traptors and Liberty were far and away the highest we've seen all season (they had to have both normalled). Which had a significant effect on everyone else's power rating, as the league team average jumped up almost a whole tenth of a point. Liberty is really starting to distance themselves from the rest the league.

Other games of note include an upset for BAT over Extra Crispy on equal effort. Also, Lengends rating moves down despite a walkover win, because everyone else pretty much improved their team rating this week, while he had a blank. Nit really fair, but it will happen to all of us since Ozark is a lame duck.

Great set of games over the weekend. Mashers with a huge win over L & P to hand their first loss since the first game of the season. Risked a CT, but it may pay off come playoff time. In the meantime Swanson needed OT to take down Sidney Truong and Natellio. Would have been a wonderful win for me... Should have normalled! The Door Mats somehow managed to kill Extra Crispy on equal enthusiasm. Stalzog's squad can get a little inconsistent... The Traptors narrowly escaped a determined 2 Left feet team. Ozark lost...

A little of everything: training priorities over absolute best line-up, two week injury to a key starter, accidentally setting wrong tactics, flat out choosing wrong tactics. Plus it's felt like for several games now, either the refs will be against us, or we just have one of those nights where we can't score or can't defend. I think we burnt too much karma in winning that buzzerbeater against you ;)

Ultimately, if we can hold on to 2nd in the Great 8 I think we're still in position to be dangerous come playoff time.

If you wanna give L&P another loss I'd be totally fine with that, just letting you know.

If I go 21-1 how likely do you think it is that I'll promote regardless of the playoffs? I know that there are at lease two bots in D2... probably more

It will all depend on how many other 21-1 teams that blow the playoffs are out there.

I actually was informed by mod bballin that since they are finishing 8th there will be no bot promotion

It's been 2 weeks since I did one of these, so here we go. I give some team notes this time around...

Power Rankings

1. Liberty, 16.450: Maintains the #1 spot despite a worse record. The ratings and PD are way ahead of everyone else.
2. Flash, 14.487: Greatly narrowed the gap in 2 weeks. Clearly the favorite out of the Big 8, but will it be an easier road after all?
3. Ron Swanson, 9.529: Lurking... Made a big time purchase within the last 2 weeks which should cause some uneasiness from the two guys ahead of him.
4. Traptors, 9.443: Also greatly closing the gap. Maybe a purchase away from being a legit candidate to promote.
5. Lengends, 2.862: Has dropped 4 out of 5, and doesn't look to be a contender any longer. Still a great season after promotion.
6. Natellio, 2.104: Not real sure why I'm this high. 2nd highest IS rating helps, but I don't deserve #6.
7. East Gary Eagles, 1.374: Won 4 of 6, and looking like the #4 seed right now.
8. Lake Charles, 1.030: On a roll. Won 4 of last 5. After the Extra Crispy win, he's got the strong hold on the #4 spot.
9. Extra Crispy, -0.020: Lost 5 of 8, with the pack on his heels. Tough finishing schedule too.
10. 2 Left Feet, -1.345: Another victim of the Door Mat ressurgence. But probably has 5th locked up, worst case.
11. Eclypze, -3.603: Smedlock is only this low because of the constant turnover of his team. No idea what to expect for the rest of the season. Got a ton of salary again though.
12. Updog, -5.626: Firmly in the #7 spot. Will have a fight to stay in the league.
13. The Door Mats, -6.913: What a story. Showed no life all season, and has now won 5 of 6, and could have homecourt in a relegation series. Still has a shot at 5th too.
14. BAT, -10.077: Accepting relegation it seems. It's been real!
15. Cresleys, -12.295: Still going to be fighting for home court in a relegation series, but needs some help becaue of his PD.
16. Ozark, -10000000. Blah.

What bugs me about Ozark is that he still gets on but won't buy a single player in order to help out the rest of the league... Anywho Swanson, Elcypze, and Traptors all with big purchases. Gross. Well come Saturday I'll have an answer of my own hopefully... It was pure dumb luck a purchase fell through yesterday for me.
