South Africa | NT Season 52 (pt. 1)

Encouraging start in the World Cup despite two defeats against :
- Hong Kong (Asian champion against whom we were tied at half-time) = 95/114
- Colombia (Champion of the Americas against whom we lost only by 9 at a higher attitude) = 126/135

Our goal of getting one victory will be very difficult to achieve, however we will not give up as usual

Concerning the current roster, we have had to do without Umi Mji (one of our best inside player) since the start of season and since this week without Julius Ifeanyi (we kicked him out of the roster) due to catastrophic weekly stats. They joined Lebohang Mbata who has also been useless since the start of last season despite our many bb-mails. We shouldn't see them with the national jersey anymore.

We now prefer to focus on Kopano Mase and Ayize Mini to give them experience for the next African championship for which they should have a major role. A huge thanks to their owners who are following our advices each weeks. One more time, a huge thanks to JimyW too for the training of Umi Mugabe who will be part of the adventure next season for sure. We are catching up on SF / C positions !

We were also happy to see DonnyTheWay bought Kasiya Mbazia to bring him home : the process continues

It could have been a win against Colombia without the bad GDP. But it was difficult to estimate before the game. The GS issue on some key players is annoying. Do you ask their managers to sell these players in case they can't keep them in good shape ?

I created a GS tracking board with all of our selectable players and I usually send a bbmail to each manager who made a mistake. Concerning Umi and Julius, they were rather in good shape last season even if it could be variable with the national cup. Sadly, Julius was injured for the Africa Championship Tournament final and Umi was 7 GS : it hurted us a lot because they were almost irreplaceable at that time. But they had many calls to order. For Lebohang, that was different because I almost asked the manager for a sale from the start of season 51 since he was already in bad GS in the previous one. All my bbmails have been read but left unanswered.

Concerning the game vs Colombia, I hesitated for a long time between inside GDP (3 of their 13 games last season) and neutral GDP (5 of their 13 games last season) : we are forced to make this kind of bet when comparing the numbers on paper and the rosters. However, I could have tried 3/2 zone + outside GDP against Hong Kong and I assume this error.

South Africa | NT Season 52 (pt. 2)

The WC continues and the poor results too !
We tried a few more bets but we missed the two games that seemed within our reach although we played in CT each time (vs Colombia & Česká Rep)
With a TS now well below 5, it is now hard to put on a good showing against France and Nederland, which are 2 very big European nations

As expected, our season was successful even before the start of the competition
We have the merit of having tried things although they failed

We plan to end the season with a kind of mini tournament that we want to organize with the other African teams which are eliminated from the World Cup (Senegal) and the Consolation Tournament (Tounes, Al Maghrib, Al Jazair, Misr, Ghana).
BTW, Nigeria is not yet mathematically eliminated and should host the next Africa Championship Tournament.

We will continue to develop and test the future stars of our national team by making them play more and more

Hi guys,
End of season for our national team with a rather mixed record but it was reasonably difficult to be able to do better
Even though we fought for the title with Senegal for the continental title, there is still a lot of work to reach the world top 20 and exist at this level
You all did a great job and you can be proud of it whether on GS or training
It’s time for me to hand over the baton
Good luck to all and .. merci !

Thanks. I guess you won't run again for the elections. Why?

Hi Ebene !
I will not be candidate for my succession but the work has been done and well done in my opinion
Many gaps have been erased and the future looks particularly bright even if it will be necessary to prepare the « after Mabuza »
I have just been promoted to league 2 and I intend to run for the national elections in my country for the first time
Take care
