Thomas Sowell said there are no solutions in life, only trade-offs. As somebody who works during the day with no access to buzzer at times I would welcome the update. I understand how others think their hard work in being online a lot should be rewarded. No easy answer but selfishly I voted yes.

Agree 100% with all of these points

The biggest reason I love this site is because it isn't easy. I have set a few alarms from 1-3am to bid on players I really wanted. I also went to work tired. We should reward dedicated managers, not make it easier for those that don't want to invest as much of themselves. Kobe and Jordan worked harder than everyone around them and that's why they were better than their peers. I appreciate that this game requires you to disrupt your schedule and personal comfort if you want to gain an advantage.

I voted yes but in truth I would love to see the developers update the training system before anything else. The idea of only improving one skill at a time is very out dated and forces team to do things that dont make sense basketball wise like play their PG at Center to try to raise rebounding.

Terrible idea, it’s NO for me. We’re going to implement a system to cater towards people who can’t overcome obstacles? I love the human aspect of this game, why take that away? You miss a bid because you were busy or couldn’t wake up, oh well just put your MAX bid in from the start. Also, Knowing you will not wake up or even remember you did? Sounds to me you’re putting yourself in a situation that could’ve been avoided. With either system you’re going to get OUT BIDDED. What’s the difference? You’ll feel better about yourself about putting bids in through a bot? I literally have not had any issues with the current bid system, my question is why make a bid on a player when the auction ends at 2 or 3am local time. To back that point I am full time student in a physical therapy program with a job in the medical field that requires A LOT studying outside of courses.

It This will definitely cause severe inflation for all types of players, what is the point of the app then? It notifies when you have been out bid a player or staff member. “Well I was sleep and couldn’t wake up” that line would circle back to why put a bid on a player when the auction ends at an inconvenient time for you.

Why not work on the bugs in the game? Like the shot violation you know where your opponent keeps the ball for a minute plus straight. I feel like other things can be worked on other than an auto bid system that caters to the rich. Or add steal and blocks categories for leagues like points, rebounds, and assists

Voted other because I don't really care either way. I can remember some occasions that I would use it, had it been available at thetime but I am also fine with the system as it is now.

Having said that, I think that the main impact Autobid will have in the game is to favor players with large cash reserves over players having more flexible gaming hours or willing to sacrifice time better spent on other activities.

One caveat.
Under no circumstances should a player be allowed to use Autobid on a player he is selling himself. It's an old trick to bid on your own player to lure another player in a bidding fever and get a higher price. It is a nasty trick (borderline cheating I say) and though it is not forbidden by the rules it should not be enabled by Autobid or any other new feature.

I see the poll currently has majority yes but most vocal people are "no". I'll add an explanation for my "yes".

As I've gotten older and with more responsibilities the current bidwar system doesn't work well for me anymore. I have kids to take care of and work to actually do instead of spend 25 minutes on buzzerbeater because someone else raises the bid 2 minutes every time after I bid. So this change benefits people like me that don't have the luxury to just put their life on hold for 25 minutes depending on sales times.

But can't you just put your max bid and be done at once?
Yes I do this sometimes and this means compared I often overpay for my players. It also happens a lot that I can't be online at the deadline and someone just puts one more bid above me so the guy f.e. sells for 808k because I was willing to pay around 800k. But honestly I would have been fine with another 16k as well. The max I'm willing to pay is not a perfect exact number because I'm a stupid human with emotions rather than a robot. It's more of a range that stretches a while, which means sometimes I'm willing to pay that I value the player somewhere in a range of 700k-1.05M. Since it's my preference to not by definition pay the max of my range it means I miss out on most players and just pick players from the timeframes where I have time available.

So this rewards inactive players?
Well I still spend between 10 and 20 hours a week on buzzerbeater I think. The thing is though that there's only a few windows during the day/night where I can. So don't see it as rewarding inactivity but as giving a guy with long hours during his work and a family to take care of some flexibility to be able to join a "bidwar" for a player that he likes that happens to be outside of his usual windows of free time.

All I see is players with large bank roll abuse this. Players with a large bank roll are already at an advantage. This system will amplify it, if I don’t care about how much I spend. I’ll just set it to auto max bid with an absurd price.

Almost very good, but fear no more. I got you.

Everything is fine except one.

"- the feature is only available 24 hours before the auctions ends. (something in that nature, not open for discussion)"

This is almost good, but as it is, it would be a huge advantage for bigger teams, with bigger money. An easy fix, is to set and end for auto bids. Or am i to understand that all auto bids will end at 3 min, so there is still a chance for smaller teams to snipe a good player for a lower price? Could that timer maybe start from 15 min then? or 10 ? just so there is an amount of time, where you can still win a good player, if you put in the dedication to actually follow the transfer live.

I feel like i have made a trade or two, by monitoring the transfer marked. And i would be sad to see that part leave.
