I think there is no question that KDB has the highest market value in the NBBA.

Don't know about the rest of the ranking, but I'm puzzled about how that would show that they have done the best managerial job (unless by managerial job you don't mean GM job, but something like "coaching" job)???

I think he's getting at something like "brand value", but with record rather than franchise value. Who's performance has most exceeded the market value of their players?

Anyone have an updated list of team salaries?

I'm still not sure that's a good measure, though. Do you rate higher a really efficient team (very low value/salaries) that finishes 6th? Or an expensive team that finishes 3rd?

I guess I was thinking that one way of determining how well a team is constructed might be comparing their results to how much you can buy their players for on the open market.

Yeah, salaries are just the most quantitative way we have to get at that question, without trying to guess a sale price for every NBBA player. Unless you have some secret TPE formula you'd like to share ;)

Based on salaries, I believe I get the most league wins for the buck.

Brian and I emailed each other about approx team value earlier in the season. We both came up with very close numbers for our teams. This was before some retard gave him an instant 6mi bidl for Leslie though.

I'd also be interested in seeing how much uber-trained OD really gets on the open market, to determine the value of Heathen's mysterious team.

I might have you slightly on assets, but I think you're killing me on profit so far this season.

Figure my roster is worth $45-50m, but am only turning about 75k a week in profit (not including cup bonus).

So yeah, asset value and profit are the two obvious drivers of your teams quality. One is very subjective and the other takes a little more work, since the weekly net income excludes B3, cup and playoff money.

I just roughly ran through mine, and I'd guesstimate around $43mil.

This probably would be entertaining as much as rough - how about an open vote for GM of the season...... Similar to the way NT Managers are voted on. It would be hard to do with the amount of leagues, but maybe cap it at say top 2 divisions.

I think the rankings are pretty good actually, but they heavily weigh B3 results/participation. To be fair, I don't pay much attention to how "accurate" they are past the top five though.

Anywho, I would win that ratio as well.
