First post, for the Tutorial, but I actually got good info out of this thread before even looking into the game. Offensive Flow (seems like a Chemistry to me so far) seems to have a major impact, so just having talent isn't enough. I could see alot of players jumping right in (no tutorial) and missing that, looking strictly at the Talent. And maybe you can 'build' that Flow over time, but they probably quit when those 'studs' under-perform without understanding why.

I also like seeing that, under the right situation, you can do things such as placing a Center at Small Forward and get positive results. I would like to think it is because he (A) had a 'European Style' Center that could play perimeter ball or (B) he used an Offense that kept the SF inside more often and exploited the size advantage that would bring.

Looks like there are a million ways to play the game, and at least a dozen ways to win (until you come against that team with just the right set up to break up your perfection), and I'm really looking forward to it. Threads like this one really help peek the interest, I can't wait to get started... but will finish the Tutorial first. LOL!

I don't want to disappoint you but;

On the top levels there are just a ''few'' ways to play a match if you wanna win.

For example, I can't understand how a center with passing 16, doesn't pass any ball to a teammate for an ''easy open shot''

And that's all? I resign myself to thing it's that simple. I permorfed better than him, my attack won over his defense, and so did my defense over his attack.
I'm thinking in two major reasons. The performance of my SF, and his OR. That could be the difference between winning or losing?

Don't look at the ratings, they will confuse you more than help.

What's wrong in your game is you outside defense, he scored you a lot, i guess your PF-C had to defend many times in front of his outside players?

That's why 3-2 defense is bad against outside offenses in tight games. You would believe 3-2 is good against outside, right? Unfortunately not, because in 3-2 defense your PF and C defend the corners and his outside players of course shoot also from there. That's why I always try to use M2M in close games.

Funny, how 3-2 is bad against outside offenses and 2-3 is bad against inside offenses. Are any zones useful at all? Guess not...
