So where's your ABBL Championship, Battlers Tournament Cup, Buzzerbeater's Best Championship, National World Cup, National Asian Championship, U21 World Cup, U21 Asian Championship?

Valid question

Look unless Iwen beats me back into the ABBL, I reckon Im a pretty good chance to win a ABBL champioship & Battlers Tournament in the next couple of seasons if;

I can stay motivated
The current financial staus quo with transfer market & rules arent changed too drastically

That said I am in full admiration of yourself Mr Whitebeard as I believe you have proven yourself to be a great Manager

I might also add that I dont begrudge Bryce, Dire or Mllama any of their successes either

That all said it doesnt seem fair the advantage that Id have over such great Managers if I was to promote back in the next season or two with my current bank balance

Yeah I hope so fishy, it kind of seems fitting after starting in the same league that we also get to try crush each others abbl dreams the first season we both got up! All the best mate.

No doubt that in recent seasons just those four managers (Whitebeard, Dire, mllama and Bryce) have dominated Aussie BB.

Season 19
Cup Whitebeard/Dire
League mllama/Koop

Season 18
Cup Dire/Hadders
League Bryce/mllama

Season 17
Cup Bryce/Dire
League Whitebeard/Dire

Season 16
Cup Dire/Iwen
League Bryce/Dire

Season 15
Cup Dire/C-Cat
League Bryce/Dire

Season 14
Cup Dire/Bryce
League Bryce/mllama

Season 13
Cup Dire/Bobby Locke
League Dire/C-Cat

It has been since season 11 when anyone else besides those four has won anything.
But there are some new challengers coming. I see Koop, Aussie, tremell, bevers, Sid and me as all part of a younger generation of managers that will be bringing on some challenges for the old timers very soon.

Just for interest here is the age to the current ABBL teams.

Season Started
2 Lewisham Wombats
2 Black Label Society
3 WA IS A DUMP
3 Bell Park SuperCats
6 Billy Hoyles Boys
6 hopelessly addicted
7 Baxter Bogans
7 Chumunga
8 Aussie Pride IV.12
8 CROCKERS
9 Monkey Business IV.2 Round 4
9 Koopasaurus IV.18 Round 5
9 Da Fat Boy Slim IV.12 Round 7
9 Whitebeard IV.11 Round 23
10 Chelsea Seagulls IV.7 Round 2
10 Guanzheng Goldfish Round 4

Interesting that Whitebeard is actually one of the three youngest. I guess I shouldn't count him amongst the old school. Amazing managing. He was lucky enough to inherit a team with a great record that won the bot promotion after one regular season game under his control. Looks like an incredible early story of managing. He trained his own champions like Alexis Asvestas, Calvin Todman, Wasim Gibson and Jordan Elleman. Somehow after just over a season in the game had saved $1.1 million to buy Xose Monteagudo who joined with his guard trainees to take him to a division III championship. Then he sold slightly trained draft picks Wasim Gibson for $1.2 million and Hairil Zamri bin Che Mat for $1 million and that was enough.

The only younger ABBL team ever is Slam ! They started incredibly during the playoffs in season 12. Impressive work!

A lot of insightful history as usual Yoda.

For myself I promoted all the way up to ABBL pretty smoothly with only a couple of hiccups along the way. Don't know why but Buzzerbeater is one of the few management games that I got into pretty easily and actually found the game manual quite interesting. In comparison I've found other games to either have a light, heavy or badly sorted game manual. I reckon most people quit these sort of games because of the time needed to understand the game.

Back then in Australia, a lot of teams in division 2 and 3 were mediocre. With a bit of knowledge from the game manual and understanding of the game engine it was quite easy to leapfrog teams. Now a days it's totally different with the strong community in Australia and great replies from the help forum.

So a combination of luck, knowledge, planning and sacrifice got me ahead faster than most. A few of the trainees that was sold I actually wanted to train them longer but had to decide whether to hold back a season or just go for promotion. Of course I chose the latter.

is it safe to say that the direwolfs, the mllamas, the c-cats, the nik0s and bryce's were the 60's, 70's and early 80's of the NBA.. comparable to players like bill russell, elgin baylor, kareem, bird, magic.

whilst...

9 Monkey Business IV.2 Round 4
9 Koopasaurus IV.18 Round 5
9 Da Fat Boy Slim IV.12 Round 7
9 Whitebeard IV.11 Round 23
10 Chelsea Seagulls IV.7 Round 2
10 Guanzheng Goldfish Round 4

is the late 80's and 90's, with whitebeard being the MJ of the era denying everyone in this era of a championship.
koops = charles barkley
da fat boy slim = fat lever
monkey biz = ewing
goldfish = stockton
seagulls = malone

crazy talk but its comparable LOL
