CT on 3 aint good at all (maybe you'd win a enthusiasm 5 guy, but not sure), and in my opinion you'd had no chance in finals with enthusiasm 1 or 2.

See, that is where teams run into trouble though. Planning ahead. I'm taking this 1 game at a time, and as an 11-11 4 seed, I just beat a 20-2 1 seed.

I think that you are wrong...EVERY serious team is planning ahead as much as possible. On the other side, you are always firing your best shoot. What happens when your gun goes empty like it is now (very low enthusiasm)? Think about that...

EDIT:...i have checked your results...it is obvious what happens, isn`t it?

And it's obvious to you that I would have lost the first game if I had not CT? This is additional money that a mediocre team , like mine, needs. Think about that...

If you really have a mediocre team then you don`t have to plan (almost) anything specially when it comes to serious matches...as i said previously, serious teams with high ambitions have to plan very carefully every single move in distant future...

As a new player I really don't feel I've got the hang of TIE/normal/CT in BB at all yet.

For most of the games I've played (the last few before the playoffs, and now playoffs) I've left the guys on normal. In my playoff semi-final I switched to CT and it worked, getting me through to the final by five points against an opponent who I am sure also went with CT. Then, of course, I was low in enthusiasm for the first finals game, and lost.

I'm guessing that several of my games in the regular season I could have risked TIE. But how does everyone assess when that is worth the risk? Against all bot teams? Against teams with players of a certain wage below your own? Or against teams you've beaten in the first half of the season? Or do players do TIE against the really good teams, knowing they're going to lose anyway.

What strategies for accumulating enthusiasm through TIE seem to work well?

Thanks,

Nick

TIE the first few games untill the enthusiasm is high. with high enthusiasm and TIE your team will perform quite good. then you can play normal attitude in some important games. but in the regular season TIE should be the "normal" choice.

That's extremely risky in a tough league.

I couldn't get away with that in the NBBA most of the season.
