Okay so since I'm really curious about this season's draft, I have to share my 1st pick.
Odds of getting this young man are pretty high as I pick 4th and the 3 teams below me are inactive.

What do you guys think? This one looks awesome right? Can't wait to share the draft results!

At least he looks like a good (inside) shooter with hopefully some JR as well. Based on the minutes played and amount of FT (13-15) these two skills could be respectable. I truly hope the 4 steals will lead to some outside oriented skills as this guy is pretty tall: some outside starting skills would be perfect.

Only things which bother me are 6 TO's and "only" 6 TR. Besides that, he looks like the perfect draftee to me.

Opinions?

I wouldn't expect much Handling (6 TO's) and Passing (0 Assist), but the 6 TO's might have been 6 bad passes, too. Maybe the 4 steals indicates some decent Driving + OD for a big man? My players with respectable Stamina play about 42 minutes in my games, but I tend to play slower offense/defense pace combos, so I'd guess maybe high end mediocre or better on Stamina. Hard to go wrong with 5/5/A+ I'll be interested to see the result if you nab him, nice find. I'd keep my expectations low and remember that sub-levels won't show, so even if he has more inept-averages than you anticipated they could bump up a level after a week of training or you could see some unexpected early bumps from cross-training (training that goes to a random skill).

So for comparison, you could relate the number of foul attempts with offensive skills? I got a guy who is 2nd in my ranking with a 43 point game with a 13-15 foul shooting night. Now he's second for a reason or two, but its kinda hard to ignore this boxscore. Although I agree it is one game

I don't know any more than you do but I like your thought process. It sounds like you've scouted him twice so potential (skill cap) and grade rating (starting cumulative skill/salary) are what I would put the most weight into, using the box score to guess potential weaknesses or deal-breakers. I would expect decent FT shooting, and speculate Driving + an Offensive skill (JS or IS).

I had a box score for a guy 23-23 FGs with like 55 points or something. 5 Star ability. 2 Star potential = guy who peaked too early

This season, one of the draftees seems awesome:

40 mins, FG 19/28, 3FG 1/6, FT 4/4, 1 Reb, 8 Assists, 2 TOs, 2 Blks and 2 Fouls ... Scored 43 points and 5 Star rating...

It ends up 1 Star potential. Possibly "Bench warmer" or "Announcer" potential ...

Note: It seems that the lowest potential is "BuzzerBeater developer", but didnt draft a player with such low potential before.

Hi All, Newbie here and looking forward to my first draft. Question though...

Is there a page anywhere where it tells you what the abbreviations mean in the box score? Some I can work out myself but others I'm struggling with.
Thanks.

I always wonder how they can have same "Star Rating":

Player A: Scored 3 points, 3 Rebounds, 4 Assists, 4 TOs, 2 Steals and 1 Block
Player B: Scored 27 points, 7 Rebounds, 8 Assists, 4 TOs, 1 Block and 2 Fouls

Both have "3 balls" in Star Rating. Based on the above stats, can we predict who has better potential? Can someone interpret the meaning behind (I mean how come both have "3 balls" in Star Rating).

Surely, if one-game stats tell everything, Player B should be a better player and should have better Star Rating, right?
