Game limit is great imo! Hall of Fame guys are not one game wonders!

I love the HOF and the implementation of it is very good. I especially like that it is possible to elect players that are no longer part of your team.

One thing though, I dont understand why a player has to play a certain amount of games to be elegible. In my opinion it should be up to every team owner to decide the criaterias for their HOF.

For instance, suppose you have a player that makes a stellar performance in the league final and brings the club its first national title, then I would like to add such a player to the HOF independantly of how many games he has player for the team (not that I have any right now though).

That's probably to prevent users from clogging the HOF with pretty much everyone that has ever played for them, which takes up a crapload of extra space.

As there is a limit of a maximum of 1 player for every second season in the game I doubt that it is the reason.

For now it's not much but down the road, many, many seasons in it will be.

Many many seasons!!! Wow at the rate of 7 seasons per 2 years managers are going to have to be playing for some time to clog up their HofF!

With training speeds slowing down considerably - its going to be some time before the next crop of players can outperform let alone justify inclusion..... if this trend continues then the future 18/19yo will likely have to be around 3 physical years before they start to impact games on a level where their managers may then decide them worthy to consider.

It sounds to me like you would want to add that performance to some sort of "memorable moments" page rather than the player to a Hall of Fame. Let me think a bit more about that one.

Both yes and no. Personally I have no interest in adding someone that had just one great performance to my Hall of Fame, but I think it should really be my decision as a club owner to set the rules for my Hall of Fame. Thus, if someone wants to add the worst player they ever had, even if he only played one minute, I think they should be allowed to do that; if someone wants to fill their HOF with players that have funny names I think they should be allowed to do that, and so on.

Basically the only rule that should be needed is a maximum number of spots per season and then each manager should be able to set their "rules" for their HOF.

Another thing though I would really want to mark players as "future hall of famers" so I could add career high lights during while they are still active. Now I chose to add a player that is still active (even though he is playing for another team) just to make it easier to remember the highlights and his number. If I could have reserved a spot for him I would have waited until his career is over before adding him to my Hall of Fame.

For me the limitations is part of what makes this feature so cool.

If i could just slap any half decent player up there it would mean nothing and render it pretty much useless.

Those that don´t make it can get som fame from the press blog, just not HOF.

Well without having a restriction on who you can select for the Hall of Fame, but only how many you can select, your choice would become even harder, so as far as I underastand it this should only make the HOF "cooler" according to your comment.

The important thing is that there should be an upper limit on the number of players you can select, but the citerias for which players desrve those few spots available should be up o you to set.

Thus a change would not affect you as you wouldn't select this kind of players to your HOF. Why shouldn't someone that has other criterias than mine or yours be able to select according to their criterias?

Oh i´m sorry, somehow i horribly confused the meaning of your post. How i did it is a mystery even to me.

Actually, i agree. With a strict limit on the amount of HOFs further restrictions is not necessary unless the meaning is to make sure the HOFs are real HOFs and not just some guy who is chosen for comic relief.

I dont mind managers having that option, might be fun.

I have one question,I started playing in middle of fourth season,does this season count as one whole season or what?

44 games is the minimum.

Hi, First of all, I want to say that I really love this feature...
I just have 2 proposal to your consideration:

- raise the games to be eligible (44 are not very much, I think HoF should regard players that have played a long time with your team...in my opinion something like 75-100 games would be more appropriate)

- enlarge the number of players eligible (1 for year).

And last, what about the possibility to retire the related number?
