Here's some information on the OS training I did for 6 straight weeks (solely training SGs):

Both players are 18 and received full training everytime (except for the 2nd week where player two only got 47 minutes, but I doubt that matters much). I have a level 9 trainer. I do have a 3rd player who I was trianing, but as you might expect his training was sporatic, so I don't think it will be as helpful.

Player 1:
Week 1 --> JR to 8
Week 2 --> JS to 8
Week 3 --> JR to 9
Week 4 --> No pops
Week 5 --> JR to 9
Week 6 --> JS to 9

Player 2:
Week 1 --> JS to 7, JR to 8
Week 2 --> No pops
Week 3 --> JR to 9
Week 4 --> No Pops
Week 5 --> No pops
Week 6 --> JR to 10
(Then week after I trained him in JS, he only played 17 minutes, and he popped in JS to 8). So clearly he was almost there).

Neither player popped in DV or HN during that time. I then trained 2 weeks of JS where neither player popped in DV or HN. Then I trained one-on-one and BOTH players popped in BOTH driving and handling.

So based on those two, here's my 2 cents:

Outside Shooting
SG:
Trains JR @ 2-3 weeks
Trains JS @ 4-6 weeks
Trains DV @ 6+ weeks (maybe 7-8ish)
Trains HN @ 6+ weeks (maybe 7-8ish)

So, you see, in order to get good passers, you need to get them far more then respectable/strong Passing...

In order to get good shooters you need to get them far over respectable/strong as well, in order to get good rebounders as well, in order to get good defenders as well, in order to get good shot blockers as well etc etc etc. But all in comparison with their opponents level.

And Passing is one of the slowest training

It isn't, it isn't slower than ID/ IS. Passing is just 3 weeks 2 pops or something, 18 yo PG only 1 about 1 pop a week for at least 3 weeks in a row.

Pressure is a very slow training yes, but others not.

From my experience, Passing is one of the slowest trainings...

And I have a player, strong JS and respectable JR averaging 13 points in 16 minutes, and my strong passer is averaging 2 assists in 24 minutes.... There's something wrong... I would expect 4-5 assists at least...

Nothing wrong IMO.

I have trained a fair bit of passing and look at the assist stats in my league! (i dont have a player there at all)

Why?
Well because most of the time my points are spread throughout the side and if i have 4 strong passers then they all share the assists. Most Look Inside teams play 1 PG who sets up the Centres and he always finishes with 6-7 assists... I'm willing to bet my 458 assists in 22 games is higher than most of the teams I compete against yet certain players they have average more individually. (I play push the ball alot as well which I think also means the distribution is spread more evenly)

Personally I find that the average assists in this game is far too low. You look in the nba and the average point guard gets about 6 or 7 assists a game with the best getting 11-12. In this game the best pgs seem to only average about 5 or 6. Check the transfer list for guys with really high passing ratings and you'll see that there assists average isn't very impressive.

Depends on how you define "really high".

I'd say that the pure, old school PG is the rarest find in the game.

NO ONE at this table ordered a rum & Coke
Charles: Penn has some good people
A CT? Really?
Any two will do
Any three for me
Any four will score
Any five are live

I agree, and sometimes I have a feeling that assists are highly influenced by random... I've seen many times team with inept (high) Offensive Flow made the 10 assists, and opponent with pitiful (mediocre) OF 25 assists...

I play Run & Gun, thats why my PG's probably averaging 2.2 assists, but I have 2-3 big men with respectable passing... Why don't they have more assists?

I have good Offensive Flow, and my team is averaging around 13 assists p/g... Last year, that number was 22, but in the second league... And I had worse OF then...

But I still don't understand why my team averages such a small number of assists... I looked to my league rival's stats, he also plays Run & Gun, he has worse OF than me, and his team averages 20+ assists p/g... We play in the same league, so the opponents are same... And I'm pretty sure I have the better passers...
