For this topic, aren't the smaller nation users more relevant?

Not necessarily. If they do a reshuffle of sufficient magnitude that it actually makes a good difference, then every team in every country is affected. If they just mess with small nations, what they do won't matter in the long run.

In my opinion they are mostly irrelevant, although asking for their opinion is a nice signal. We are talking about ~5% of the total userbase, in the original suggestion of BB-Ryan. Imo long term it's worth to take the risk to lose most of them short term.

For what it's worth, everyone who has expressed an opinion in India is in favour of a merge.

I'm a swiss. My motherlanguage is german, but we have to learn french and english, too. Someone from the french or italian part is able to understand german up to a certain level and vice versa. Although not everybody is friendly with the other language, many people have relatives, friends or co-workers from any part of Switzerland. I think we're the one who would be okay with a different language... As long as it's not Japanese ;). Cheers...

While Ithink it is important, that micronation managers are heard and it is important that they give information about the culture and ideas of their country, I also think that macronation users can participate and be very valuable to this discussion as long as they give good arguments. While it is important how the micronation users feel about the change, it should be meaningless who brings up a good argument.

Also I don't think that this decision is one micronation users should decide alone. the userbase in micronations consists of managers who continued playing in a noncompetitive field. the ones that wanted more competition emigrated to other countries or left the game. so who can speak for future managers, who like more competition? and who guarantees that the mirconation users won't just argue for their profit. I can think of at least one guy who plays B3 and is Coach of his NT, who tries to sabotage this discussion since the beginning..

This shoud not be a micro- vs. macronation conflict. I thnk this topic helped to give us a very good impression fof everyones feeling and some good arguments. I didn't follow the posts since a few days and I agree totally that

the topic has become so convoluted that it seems impossible to come to a resolution or compromise.
