Well i'd like to apologise to iwen for apparently tarnishing he's legacy. It wasn't my intention but honestly, if i didn't think i could do a better job at it why would i run? If Leeroy doesn't think he can do a better job, then why vote for him? I think I can add more to your good work then someone who thinks too similarly tactically.

Did you ever stop to think no one else ran in the election because they knew that an unfair succession plan was in place and they had no hope of winning? Well, I'm running so they have a voice. Think of me as the Greens party. If you think thats not 100% accurate then you should see how many people have PM'd me after my speech. So, on another point, i will certainly get more then 1 vote.

As for the personal attacks go about "crawling back into my hole" because you dont know who i am. Thank you, thank you very much for vindicating my reasons for running and giving everybody who isn't in your group of friends a reason to vote for me and against you.

If i'm NT manager i wont just dismiss comments because i dont know who they are and i wont personally attack them or the validity of their comments like the current regime do.

In the words of Rasheed Wallace ".....As soon as we made the game close, their ass-holes started to pucker up"

Seriously guys, where all here to make Australia the best it can be so why turn against each other.

I see where silo is coming from as i used to (or maybe still am) one of the 'outsiders' but then again all u have to do is make a little effort, both on here and on the offsite forum, and then the 'veterans' (as i like to call them) will happily accept you as a coach and will give you all the help you need. . . if you ask!

Leeroy is no veteran. He isn't in the ABBL. He is a division III noob!. We the so called "insiders" should be praised for being so open. I assume that most of those PMS were abuse or from Crazy Australian and Fanny.

There's nothing wrong with you running.

It's the way in which you worded your speech.

There were plenty of other positive things you could have said to bolster your candidacy.

Instead you started throwing mud at those who hold a lot of respect in the Australian community.

You are yet to answer any questions posed in this debate thread on the direction you will take the team, your philosphies on training and tactics. All you've done is talk without backing it up.

I think if you had simply said "carry on the good work from the last few seasons", it wouldn't have rubbed anybody the wrong way at all.

sp because you have chosen not to partake in the Australian community at all until this point, you feel that you are an outsider and those that have contributed are in some kind of clique?

i have never ever received a BB-mail, a PM or had any discussion with a single member of this board about who i vote for to lead out nation, and i have voted in every single election since i joined.

how do i reach my vote? i read what the candidates say in their speeches and in the debates... there is a post full of questions directed towards 1 candidate here, that multiple other candidates have chosen to answer...

maybe try answering those as well, and you can prove to me that way you are deserving of my vote.

give us something solid, show us your experience. dont just give me "i played in american league for 8 seasons" because anyone can say that, prove to us your knowledge of the game, of training, mentoring, or what other ideas you may.

this isnt politics.. no need to slander others and make up rubbish... go for it on your merits...

good luck!

In keeping with this commitment, I personally would like to see you answer the questions already raised by managers (including myself) so that all interested in the Australian community could make a decision based on more than simply "I am not associated with those guys over there"

We have had the chance to read Leeroy's answers, can we have yours?

yes, you're absolutely right. i haven't been talking about the team direction because i've had to defend myself.

But here goes. If i was team manager, tactically, i would change offensive pace more for opponents. Back in season 3 i was mentored by Springfield drunkers, the first winner of B3 and he took the nigerian NT in season 3 to the title when he never had the better team but he knew the offensive pace tricks to the game.

For instance, in the Season 18 U21 Cup you've only played faster paced offenses. Using the NZ game as an example you lost to a weaker team because your offense was too slow, you didn't get up enough shots to win. Also, the NZ manager played the right tactics against a stronger opponent in slowing it down and limiting shots. Theres other tricks with team personnel you can use to slow down or speed up a game but i'm not giving away everything. Also, in the final if you lost a key player to injury it would've been better to change the pace of the game.

I'd also like to get more managers involved in the NT, even those that dont perhaps frequent the off-site forums that much. How, I'm not sure. But i'm up for any suggestions.

As far as players selections i'd put a higher premium on Rebounding. i dont think it was high enough and any skill that ends possessions are good. I'm not sure what training schedules past managers have given player managers but i'd need to look at them.

Incidentally, if you still dont believe that i've been playing since season 3 you can go to the Nigerian NT page, go to games and have a look at season 3 tournament. in any of those games you'll find a player named George Ekeh, he used to play for my team in the U.S., the spumante pistons. If you then take a look a he's player history you'll see i played a PL game against high school drop-outs, an aussie manager and he can verify that i'm the same person.

In conclusion, i have the experience and know the tactical nuances of the game to lead our team for the last little push to become champions.

Thanks for reading.

Interesting read.

Though I can't change the pace of a game during the game.....

They way you've structured your own team is questionable as well. Not really built for success in the long run is it?

Season 18...

Damn. We beat Hong Kong. Who cares about New Zealand.
