Well, apart from the fact I managed to make a monumental screw up for my squad tonight, my coach was completely incompetent and I picked up an injury early on, I think that went quite well.

Anyway, as people have said before, I couldn't rule any of the EBBL teams out and if someone is willing to splash out on a monster then that could make the difference (although I do think Tata comfortably have the strongest squad as things stand). I personally have no intention (as things stand) on doing so, my finances are ticking along nicely and i'm in dire need of a quality SF.

Best of luck to everyone who remains and i'm sure whoever takes it will be thoroughly deserving.

Second Team:
Sunderland Boilermakers
Had a few scary moments tonight. (ask Vecx). 9pts down when I finally managed to see a score, midway through the first quarter. A strong second quarter left me feeling more relaxed. Trust Empire kept the game close all the way into the 4th before the Wasps finally pulled away late. Took a big risk TIEing, and also considered swapping defenders around to counter the Chairman's shooting (he scored 35 pts) but decided to trust everyone to defend well enough.

I'm very pleased to be in the Quarter Finals for the first time ever (only time?) and don't really care about the draw.

Obviously one of the DI teams will win it. Particular congratulations to the other DII teams left in.

I mentioned Tatatallfella last week, and don't see any reason not again this week. I think them and Spaz Hands are the two favourites.

I'll just sit by my radio and wait for the draw now.

You're right, wishful thinking on my part.

I think I'll be in a spot of bother against AA without home court advantage. Looks like they're on full enthusiasm.

Ah well. I gave it my best shot but I inevitably fell just short.

Congrats to the final four and may the best man win.

seriously, what went wrong tonight? i fielded a weaker team and expected to loose tonight so that I could concentrate on surviving in the cup, guess that my many years training out off sync players and luck in the tournament so far this season when it comes to the draw, did help me tonight...

guess i need to try and juggle minutes next week and not care about training my players :)

good luck to everyone that is still in the cup, even though when I think only the fellas can win it...
