I’m flattered, but I don’t think I’ll manage that this season…

How about you guys let me to promote to NBBA and then I’ll come back around after a season there and rebuild with you boys?

D.II.1 – Season 68: Day 13 Recap (May 17, 2025)
by Buzzer-Manager

Big Forest Annihilates, Smallfries Survive, and Ococoi Makes History
Day 13 brought a mix of brutality and brilliance. Big Forest demolished southpaw army in one of the season’s most lopsided beatdowns, Smallfries escaped a near-collapse against Baker Street, and T. Ococoi delivered a monstrous triple-double to snatch MVP honors.

Big Forest Blows the Doors Off
What even was this? Big Forest dropped a scorching 146–32 victory on southpaw army, dominating every category—points, rebounds, assists, and hustle stats. T. Ococoi was in full takeover mode: 39 pts, 17 boards, 10 dimes. It was an execution, not a game.

Smallfries Survive Baker Street Brawl
Despite letting Baker Street hang around late, Smallfries held on for a 96–92 win, thanks to 44 points from G. Bandeira and 26 rebounds by B. Cümşüdov. It wasn’t pretty, but the stars showed up. Are the Friez finally ready to stop cruising and start contending?

Wavy Gates Still Undefeated—Barely
Blue Ocean gave them a scare, but Wavy Gates hung on 128–120 to keep the perfect season alive. J. Broughton led the way with 42 points, while newcomer Lee Chun Fung provided needed depth in Pease’s absence. The champs aren’t slowing down.

Flying Ostriches Stay Sharp
In a potential playoff preview, the Ostriches handled business in a high-energy clash against TAR HEELS #1, taking it 102–96. Yanzhao and Draganov were steady throughout, and this squad continues to look like the most balanced threat in the Great 8.

Kings Knights Steamroll Harbor City
Kings kept their hot streak alive with a 122–88 win over Harbor City Storm. A. Olsen stayed hot from range, and the Knights look like they’ve found their groove after an uneven start to the season.

Wasted Potential Stifles SomeTeam
Defense and physicality ruled the day as Wasted Potential took down SomeTeam 86–61. G. Paciente owned the glass with 24 rebounds, and Choate swatted away 7 shots. This team is built for the grind—and the playoffs.

Village Idiots Keep Climbing
Village Idiots handled Hemet Hooligans 95–77 behind E. Irwin’s 29 & 25 line. Quietly, they’ve become a team no one wants to face late in the season.

Corntucky Finally Delivers
Mark this one down—Corntucky Mildcats stunned The White Mambas 97–71. With V. Fraser anchoring the paint and improved ball movement, this could be the late spark the Mildcats desperately needed.

Key Takeaways
• T. Ococoi just put up a performance-of-the-year candidate.
• Big Forest is capable of total destruction when locked in.
• Wavy Gates and Flying Ostriches continue to set the pace.
• Smallfries’ stars are doing the heavy lifting—but for how long?
• Corntucky might not be done after all.

Final Word:
Day 13 brought chaos, comebacks, and a few wake-up calls. As playoff intensity builds, teams are revealing who’s for real—and who’s faking it. Day 14 looms, and with it, another chance to climb… or crumble.

Stay locked in.

The all-star break is here, and the Idiots are hosting!

Any surprises this season? I didn't expect Wavy Gates to be undefeated. But they've got a big TV game against the Ostriches after the break.

Also the Great 8 seems to be the better division again. We've got two teams with a winning record and positive PD, but projected for a relegation series.

I’ve been trying to address these late game collapses with more experience, so we will see what happens. I was about to get sick seeing what looked like another collapse last game.
